Does the current time system need to be improved?

No! I think it's fine just the way it is, and to hell with all who dare say otherwise!

Yes, and I know exactly how it should be done! (elaborate below)
- 2 (12.5%)
Yes, but I have no idea how it should be done!

Yes, by setting a base limit for the amount of time that passes per update. (specify limit below)

Why yes, DZA, I am indeed well aware that I am wasting my vote by selecting this completely useless poll option.

What is the time of the location I am at?  I want to know how long it will be till I hear from my character (pending further actions)

Once the timer hits somewhere around 18:00, I'll deem your wandering complete and post the results of your actions.

I guess starting Jorn in a graveyard would make things too easy? Because that's the first thing I'll need. A base and zombie meat shields.

Waitlist App

Name: Super Dave
Sex: Male
Age: 25 ((using show premiere date :D))
Description: Super Dave Osbourne is a man with brown hair and a white stunt suit (complete with an american stripe on the chest and stars), with a similarly striped-and-starred stunt helmet with SD written in red letters on the side, or a simple white baseball cap with the same SD on it. He is a semi-famous TV personality, although his stunts almost always end up in flagrant disaster.
Origin: Super Dave Osbourne had just been a stuntman on Earth, with the most incredible, crazy, and spectacularly failed stunts around. Somehow though, though these stunts brutally injured him, he never died- it seems that by normal means, Super Dave can't be killed (although the number of TV-watchers on Earth who noticed this were minimal, strangely). Through these stunts, he amassed an amount of fame before being flung straight into a different universe by one of his usual stunts gone awry. He was assumed dead, although he was actually tied up in the adventures of King DZA.
Traits:
Super Dave is strangely nigh unkillable (by conventional means), as a stuntman he's extraordinarily daring but also incredibly reckless. He has... quite a bit of an imagination, as the stunts he does are, to put it briefly, strange. He's got an incredible bad luck.

I would like to apologize for my sudden dropping-out of the roleplay. Unfortunately, I have a lot on my plate, more than I can handle at present. Sorry for not cutting off earlier, but this seemed interesting and I didn't want to. I realize this was probably dragging down the story.

Unless you would like me to stay, I would hand in my resignation.

He immediately begins to beavergoat the man quite thoroughly! At the very beginning, the man is mystified by James' actions, but his face quickly becomes a mask of horror when the procedure starts!

"OH GODS WHY? WHYYY?"

After a twenty minute session, the man is left white as a sheet, hairless and completely and utterly dead. James congratulates himself on a job well done!

Funny thing, Jorn is actually the only Chosen One I'm having trouble thinking of a starting location for. A good starting point should give the Chosen One options, without necessarily being easy. So yeah, graveyards are likely ruled out.

No need to apologize. In all honesty, I usually stop waiting for responses after a day or so, so you haven't been responsible for any recent slowness in updates.

With the way the game works, it makes it entirely possible for participants to go inactive for a time without any major consequences (so long as you're not locked in a life or death battle or something like that). Hell, I've been assuming that The Moderator's flight to Canada is simply taking unexpectedly long due to Kestrel being away for the week.
If you really want to resign, I can have Taom be eliminated from the trial. But I personally have no problem with him going dormant for a while so that he can reemerge later when you have more time to keep up with things.

@Powder Miner

All set. Please enjoy the soothing ambiance of the aetheric fog until your time to participate in the trial arrives.

Speaking of which, I'll be allowing two more Chosen Ones to join the others on Earth at the end of the current turn, and maybe more at the end of the next turn, if I feel I can handle it without having things slow down too much.

Someone cast a spell to speed up time. What's the limit to what Jorn will be able to do anyway? I need something to work with here. Incense? Pentacles? Time? Having to open a portal to hell which will take a long time? How does magic work is the question I guess.

How does magic work is the question I guess.

Well, seeing as it's black magic, a particular flavor of magical art different from that of divine miracles (which require the favor of a deity) or masterful wizardry (which requires mana), it only makes sense that the ways of invoking it would be different as well.

Jorn's magical abilities will rely on ritual. Incantations, symbols, offerings, that sort of stuff. For example, while an ancient chant or sequence of arcane gestures alone may be enough for more minor sinister shenanigans, spells of a higher tier might require painstakingly intricate magic circles, or even blood sacrifices. It's gonna take a little more than time before you go unleashing the forces of hell upon the Earth.

That said, the exact limits of what Jorn can do with his skills in the dark arts depends largely on how creative you can get with them.

Hmm. Good thing I gave Jorn pouch. He keeps salt in it or something.

What happened to all the plotting and planning for Sameina Mannkyns anyway?

You'll probably have to ask Zan or GUNIN about that, though I'm guessing they're just waiting til they actually meet up on the planet.

Which two Chosen Ones, if I may ask?

I...haven't come to a definite conclusion on that yet.

It wouldn't make much of a difference, anyway. I'm not basing the decision on who I like more, but rather who I feel would add the most to the game in its current stage.

Yeah, and I won't try to manufacture reasons my character could advance the game.

Ya know, 'cause that would be a dick thing to do.
