"The strongest interaction" is even more boring than that.

So, here's what my rules would be for this:

1. No single-part bodies. If it can't have something cut off, it's not good.
2. Must be at least killable. Simple.
3. No [SPEED:0]. That's too easy.
4. Interactions that transform enemies are out.

For instance, let's see you come up with a transformation or insta-death interaction that I can't find a way to stop.  There are ways...

That's why the initial rules had the 'must be able to have a conclusive mirror-match' in place, to prevent unkillable creatures.  (Technically a creature that can be killed by something other than itself also qualifies, but then of course it isn't the winner).
SPEED:0 is technically no different than any other speed provided that the enemy also has the same speed, but of course then you can't see what's going on (Dragonball Z fight.  Only finished much quicker).  It's kind of a moot point.  Same issue with size, really.

I guess we can start adding new rules, but only if it actually becomes boring.  Let's have someone make a creature that exploits the current ones first.  Coming up with sneaky attacks and sneakier counters, such as the one above, is kind of the point of this game.

There's a possible catch to transform immunity -- you might want DISEASE RESISTANCE 5000 to protect yourself from enemy non-transformation syndromes, right?  But then that also might cause resistance to your own defensive syndrome?

SO just to make sure I've got a grip on the meta we're dealing with out of hte gate, were going to make a clash of gigantic, super fast, super tough, no pain no blood, no breathing, no nerve no-everything, except >1 part bodies monsters that spew the most evil substances we can stuff into a text file?

Syndromes and interactions are going to be huge. But I think some clever body designs are going to have a large effect it people take the tiem to think them up.

Just to clarify - creatures can technically be one-part - the only rule for qualification is that they must be killable by one of their own kind.  However, as this will probably require them to have one of the other vulnerabilities (such as blood or meltability, for instance) it may or may not be the best way to go.

Well, I put a couple in the arena and let them duke it out.  They broke every bone in each other's bodies, but neither died...

Interestingly, though, heat kills them pretty quickly.  Was that an intentional weakness or an oversight?

huh just thought about making a creature that uses only bloodsucking attacks...and transforms into itself for 1 frame every time it sucks blood....

Well, I put a couple in the arena and let them duke it out.  They broke every bone in each other's bodies, but neither died...

Interestingly, though, heat kills them pretty quickly.  Was that an intentional weakness or an oversight?

Nono, heat works well. It's just that he can't generate heat himself, so he breaks the rules.

Actually, having two weaknesses is kind of lame. Let's work that kink out, shall we? :P
