Ironically I think sleep deprivation may have gotten the ax for safety reasons. I don't really remember though.
I expect Drunk Fortress will still be around when you hit the magical age of alcohol though, it has staying power.

There are only 4 threads in the first three pages of the Community Games subforum that are older than the Drunk Fortress thread; none by more than a year, and that's counting the Hall of Legends. Only 2 of those threads have more replies.

This thread is literally almost as old as The Age of Legend itself, and here we are making plans, gods help us, to keep going, and the nature of the thread means that it will have staying power for... well, I don't know how long. Likely several more years. Possibly more than a decade; Dwarf Fortress keeps getting updates, so it's not likely to go stale anytime soon, and as long as it has players, it will have drunk players... posting in this thread.

Today, we learned that Japanese sailors (or ferrymen, at least) are a bunch of wimps. "There's gonna be high winds later today so we're stopping ferry service early."
That is a TWO-MINUTE BOAT RIDE! Sarushima is so close to Yokosuka I can see people eating their lunch at the cafe! If I had a waterproof backpack I could SWIM that, it wouldn't even be hard! FffffffffffUUUUUU

So anyway, since my Saturday plans got cancelled by the weather, I have time and an excuse to get drunk. Time to start a new fort.

Welcome to our new world, Tadunramul (did I spell that right?), "The Enchanted Plane". Armok has blessed this land with volcanoes and visible caves. (and a pre-game history of exactly 200 years so we can figure out how many years have passed )

I don't think I changed anything else from the default advanced "medium region" settings.

Dorfs are the only neighbors? Pssssht. Humans can survive the cold just fine (I should know), Elves are stupid enough to sell bears to ANYONE no matter how hard it is to get to them, and Goblins are tenacious little Goblinite-bearers. We'll probably be getting plenty of fun houseguests.

Oh I guess I should mention I played some TF2 prop hunt and got reasonably drunk off of like... nine...? shots of vodka. For some goddamn reason I was doing better than usual.
