Board the Frigate, we can strip some tech out of there before the Confederation shows up with the party.

...And I'm almost the only one who ever explains his ideas without prompting.

Oh, and BTW, We'd best not take any tech from the frigate; it's on our side, and I'd imagine we'd face a pay reduction if we took the turrets or whatever from it.
Not to mention that a mechanic, a brawler, a technician, a medic, a (badass) bartender, and the PC would have a hack of a time fighting off 7 highly-trained marines...that's three or so combat people, but the techie and the mechanic probably wouldn't be of much help in a fight.

No it's not, it's a Sol Frigate. We're being sent to shoot anybody who's left alive.

Apparently, a large Sol frigate was knocked out of commission by some fighters, but there are no nearby boarding craft to take it over. It is still in good condition, with only a few holes in the hull, the engines badly damaged, and most weapons knocked out. They want you to infiltrate the craft, and establish control. Risk is low, since it has only a poorly armed marine force of 7 aboard. Payment is 4000 credits.

Son, we're Highlanders.  Also if you want to know, they have cargo, and less people on board, no to mention it still has power most likely so we can use Lilith to her full extent.  If we're lucky it's a weapons shipment and we can snipe some of that, if not we'll just leave it.  In addition if there's no power, no life-support, just an easy tow back to port and a paycheck.

Should't we specialize in high-risk covert ops with a tiny but exceedingly well-trained team? Brute force missions are much less fun...

Anyway, I have a solution. In combat, first post matters, see, because it's a split second decision.

Outside of combat, like dealing with hiring, or other things, it's voted.

You decide to go board the frigate.

You have a choice of only three other mercs, along with you, to go. You can choose one of your mercs as a pilot, but they cannot enter combat unless under very dire circumstances. You might want to bring Lillith, if you want to take anything worth taking, if you want to take anything.

Which three mercs do you take along, and who flies?


STATUS-

Credits: 1500
Income: 8000 per month.
Expenses:  4760 per month.
Profit: 3240 per month.

Mercs:

Jon staen - Mechanic

Reg Uld - Brawler

Lilith Merd - Technician

Mark Nilman - Medic

Gordon Price - Sargent/Squad leader

Equipment:

Unmodified CS-A7

((Agh, stop posting so quick. It keeps telling me that a new reply has been posted while I was typing.

Life support is up, so everyone inside is still alive, assuming the survived the fighter attack. Seems like I didn't mention that, but I thought it was sort of evident, since the job is to clean it up.

Also, yes, the frigate is Sol. So we could likely pillage it without consequence.))

That still leaves the outnumbered issue. Well, I keep getting outvoted. Let's take that frigate and hope nothing bad happens...I really wanted to learn what was wrong with that space station, too. Let's keep our ears to the ground about that space station when we get back.

Let's take Lilith, Mark, and Gordon. Lilith should be able to open doors and such, right?
And I'd be willing to roleplay a headstrong merc we pick up later.

Ninja'd again: Tellemuris, we only have room for 3, not 4. Sorry, misread. I agree with the above two. Mark should be ready to head out if someone needs medical attention, though.
