I dreamt of some weird big deal thing going down in a forested area, between these 3-5 different factions, each of which had a different weapon in their basic loadout. There were these Irish/Scottish (can't remember) guys with shotguns, some irritating guys with SMGs, and a more aloof group armed with scoped rifles. There may have been a couple of other groups too, with assault rifles and pistols, but I don't remember them properly.
Anyway, unsurprisingly some treachery went on, the deal fell apart and shortly every group was shooting at every other group. I can't remember who I was at the start of the dream, but I remember the Irish team were taking a beating. They used more honourable, less sneaky tactics and had short-range shotguns in a large, widespread area.
Despite this, I think they had part of the valuable stuff from the deal under guard in their camp.
They were mostly fighting with the SMG guys.
Anyway, eventually my dream-self took the form of one of those shotgun-wielding Irishmen. By this time there were hardly any of us left, having been picked off and eventually driven from our little campsite. We were walking cautiously along through this thick, dark forest, I think we were searching for the money or something.
Anyway, we were ambushed and all the others died while I escaped. I was wandering frantically along through the dark forest, surrounded by unseen enemies. It was pretty traumatic, but I managed to keep myself alive for a while until I eventually stumbled across some camouflaged guy who had been watching me from a clump of bushes. One of the snipers!
I was confused as to why he was letting me live, but it turned out he was the last of his group and wanted an ally. I agreed, and I soon realised that he was probably also the best. As we travelled through the battlefield(I'm not sure exactly what our objective was at this point, I think we were trying to reach and capture the building at the centre of the area) he began to teach me all about stealth and guerilla warfare.
By this point the battle had become more an affair of stealth, of keeping out of sight and searching for the objective, ambushing enemies not unlike the Hunger Games.
As the sniper instructed me, we began setting frequent ambushes for the enemy factions. Eventually we reached the large mansion-type place, dealt with the enemies inside and took it over, keeping a watch for anyone approaching.
Memory gets a bit hazy after that, but one time we killed some guys who wandered onto the porch, much to Mister Sniper's amusement, and another time he had me put the bins out (I have no idea) as he covered me.
This lured out several enemies, all of whom he shot down with his rifle.
He took off his ghillie suit once we were in the house, and was wearing a normal button-up shirt and pants, and turned out to be kind of tubby. Anyway, then eventually we left the house for some reason or other, (we had to go track down some objective, I guess) and at one point I worked out I could pick up a secondary weapon, and grabbed a micro SMG off a guy we killed.
Finally, we reached some sort of outbuildings far off in the forest, along with some kind of gate out of the battlefield (I think), and there was a big epic showdown there. We had teamed up with another guy somewhere along the way, too, one of the SMG users who wasn't a dick. Anyway, stuff happened, he forced open a door only to see some elite enemy activating a bomb even as we killed him.
Sniper man told us to run, as he knew what sort of bomb it was, and it would apparently kill everyone in the place.
(It apparently caused some sort of invisible energy currents to explode or something. I dunno.)
I grabbed him and tried to drag him with me, but he shoved me off and made the two of us save ourselves as everything exploded.
...Ugh, I should have typed this out earlier, when it was fresher in my mind.
