A toast, to Toady.
« on: August 27, 2012, 12:08:10 pm »

I just wanted to say, Thank you Toady and ThreeToe.
They created a masterpiece of a game, NO game will ever outweigh the thought, time and work put into this game.
There is so much potential in Dwarf Fortress, it is just mindblowing.
A toast from me to you, and behalf of out small but loving community,
Thank you Toady.

I flat tell people this is the best game ever made. And I can say it with a completely straight face, because it's true.

And it just keeps getting better.

I want to thank them on an actually non-sarcastic remark for making the game so hard to control. It has made it so that the few hours that I've invested have been great, but not captivating enough to keep me away from my actual work.

Thank you Toady, and may your days be long, healthy and enjoyable to experience!

Yeah the game is good and its FREE.

Farmville isnt even free and it sucks.

But thats just me thinking quality should determine price, it dosen't.

They even charge money for "two worlds".

Thank you, Toady, for this amazing game. Screw graphics; DF was the first thing I ever saw in ASCII, and it turned my perspective on game quality completely around. This is the finest piece of software I have ever had the fortune to download from the all-encompassing soup of the internet, and is made all the more amazing by the fact that it was free and made by one man.

Best of luck in all your endeavors, sir. You've earned it.

Generally, when one is conducting an experiment, it is worth noting that the observers went insane, killed each other, and then rose from the dead.
It's like DF inhaled a peanut.
