Zealots & Demons, Turn 68: Pacifism FailTo the tavern, and keep a hood on.
Head to the tavern and check it out from the outside. Try not to catch too much attention this time...
Lead the way to the tavern.
Fleur led the way to the tavern. (Encounter: 5) Although they moved through crowds of people along the way - some of whom they actually recognized from the initial mob chasing them previously - no one gave them a second look. One of them even clapped Kael on the shoulder and thanked him and the Zealots for running a patrol in town, since they didn't want any of the 'wrong kind' of people around. Flustered, Fleur just ignored the masses and got them to the tavern as quickly as possible, holding the door open for Aegnor and Kael when they arrived and slinking in last.
Inside the tavern was the environment of a small town meeting house. A few people were seated at the bar engaged in quiet conversation, some were loudly playing cards at the tables, another group was playing a strange game where one would place their hand palm down and fingers outstretched on the table and apparently try to stab the spaces between the fingers as many times as possible before hitting themselves. Large bets were being exchanged over it. (Intuition, A: 3+2. K: 4+1.) Aegnor glanced at Kael, then motion with his head toward a dark corner. The troll nodded in response; he had noticed the person watching them as well. Fleur hadn't yet, as she had approached the bar to buy them some ale so they could try to fit in for a few minutes.
What would they do?
Swing the flail sideways at green-fur to get him away from Tikan. If it doesn't work, bash him with the shield.
Re-conjure up that writing equipment I got earlier, then conjure up some medical equipment I can use for healing these guys.
stab him (G-F) in the face.
With both his allies gone - but particularly Blade-Tail - Greenfur elects to get his ass out of there.
(Initiative: Mordekhai, Green-Fur, Tikan)
Mordekhai dashed over and swung his flail at the side of Green-Fur's head. (5. 5+1x2=12 damage.) The man's neck bent at a bad angle with a cracking sound and he ragdolled to the side. The crusader gave Tikan a hand up out of the muck, and she brushed as much of the mud off of her clothes and hair as possible with her hands. Then she stabbed Green-Fur's corpse in the forehead, because, well... why not make sure he was down permanently?
Akari observed that with an expression best summed up as :| and attempted to conjure some things. (2, 3... although didn't she conjure up a medkit earlier? And V-N, you think we should start taking mana or money for all this conjuration? >.>) She didn't make much of anything as she was still peeved at her allies not even giving her plan a chance at working. Now that the combat had ended, where did they want to go? The saturated apartment building, the tavern, or the airship dock? Or did they want to look for other things?

(Also, sometimes I feel like my GMing is too 'choose your own adventure'ish.
What do you guys think? Should I try to leave things more open by not suggesting possible actions, or is it fine the way it is?)
