(Guess what? Complications did ensue.
But now that I got all the minor distractions out of the way, turn 67 time.)
Zealots & Demons, Turn 67: Brain StewCautiously go downstairs, keeping an ear out for any more of that mob.
Check outside through a window for danger. Follow my companion.
Follow mini-map to find the two blue dots. (I may be going too hard on the AC with her actions... )
Kael looked outside. All clear. He and Aegnor ended up kind of standing around awkwardly as the elf listened for danger and the troll, watching out the window, waited for him to take the lead. Eventually they were spared from standing around for eternity as Fleur returned, sneaking in through an open window, and announced that she had managed to trick the mob into getting locked inside a warehouse. They would be safe for awhile, at least. That still left where they should go, although Fleur reported that their quarry wasn't anywhere nearby. They would have to range further out. She also suggested a trio of likely looking places: a tavern, an apartment building that looked saturated with wild magic, and an old airship dock. Or they could look for other landmarks, if they wanted.
Attack Blade Tail with both weapons. That's it.
Terrify @ Blade-Tail, then keep at a position where I can see Green-Fur from a distance.
Thrust Green-fur in the liver as he cowers on the floor, even if he tries to flee.
Basic Mordekhai again, unless Akari goes before B-T and rolls a 2 or 3, which will draw aggro.
Backstab Mordekhai if Blade-Tail ends up not attacking him, otherwise Parry -> Tikan.
(Initiative: Green-Fur, Blade-Tail, Mordekhai, Tikan, Akari)
Green-Fur rolled onto his back, hands up and feet on the ground with his knees bent, in a guard position. He kicked a foot out at Tikan's legs. (5. 2*2/2-1=1 damage. -4 energy) His kick caught her on the shin and would form a light bruise later, but it was merely painful more than damaging. Meanwhile, Blade-Tail whipped his tail around to snake in past Mordekhai's guard. (2. Mordekhai rolls: 4, 1 damage. 5, 6+1*2=14 damage.) Mordekhai parried it with his thurible, wrapping the chain around the tail and using it to pull the man into range of his flail... which then crashed against his skull with a dull crunch and left no doubt that the valuable organs inside were now just so much mush.
As Blade-Tail dropped to the ground, Tikan jumped into Green-Fur's guard and attempted to stab him in the liver, since it worked so well for her last time. (6. Tikan is now caught in Green-Fur's guard and his damage roll against her next turn is increased by one.) Unfortunately she fell for his trap and he wrapped his arms and legs around her, then rolled over so he was straddling her stomach with her arms pinned to her sides. He drew a fist back, ready to start pummeling...
Akari stopped casting her spell when Mordekhai pulped Blade-Tail's skull and merely looked unsure about what to do. Doubtless the kitsune wasn't used to this level of violence in her every day life. Instead, she kept an eye on Green-Fur as he rolled about in the mud with Tikan, thinking that if it wasn't so filthy that might be kind of fun.
