The PS1 years were pretty cool so that's not really a bad thing.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Actually, the PS2 was pretty great too, now that I think about it, all the PS's before the 3 were way better.

I miss the time when the true democracy existed.
Ancient Greece.
On the bright side it wasn't true democracy and the Greeks hated it :P

Storming home from school just to be before 3pm and thus, be there whilst Dragon Ball Z starts on local network (polish speaker over french dubs xD)

Oh, and using the screwdriver to do the magic thing with cassette reader for my Commodore 64 so I could play Boulder Dash, Tomahawk and few others.

Yeah so true democracy is nonexistent. And those politicians continue to feed us the lie that we live in democratic system!

Oh yes i also miss when games were hard, now most games are eaisly passable on hardest difficulty. God dammit in some games there is no difficulty,  like in Fable 2-3, game would be more enjoyable if combat were harder (or at least adjustable difficulty) and the game was longer, yeah they wont do it because of "casual gamers" who gives a fuck i want my hardcore difficulty.

When they say democracy these days, they mean a democratically elected leader who makes all the decisions. Not sure if it's better or worse.

Its bullshit, we dont have a real choice, because all we can choose is the guy who robs our money, we cant choose someone who would be great leader, we have to choose the lesser evil. Too bad idiots always choose the worst guy. Too bad people are afraid of voting on less powerful political parties because "Man they wont get anywhere anyway". Poland is a total dumphole.

Awesome game.  Arthur is best knight/paladin.

Shame Dark Dragon was such a pushover.

Shining Force III is my favorite of the Shining Force games, shame no one has ever played it.

Coasted along TVTropes for a few moments, and came across the Popularity Polynomial trope, and found this:

What can best be described by the top comment:
Quote
a 70's show about th 50's with 90's music being watched in the 10's

I believe we all got hit with nostalgia after watching this video.

On that note, I miss the good ol' times where MTV and VH1 were all about music, and "save the music" (keeping musical education in schools; band and chorus classes and whatnot, and not being all Gleek'd out) and all kinds of things music related. What the hell happened to them? Pop-Up Video was revived for only 1 season after having been presumed dead a decade ago, and it died again. Similar about Storytellers, where singers were also songwriters and even explained the meanings/origins of their songs, and much the time, even played them acousticly. Same could be said about Unplugged. Simply, what happened to music? Does the media no longer value it besides copyright trolling nowadays?

Other than the PS1 years I'm not really old enough to have nostalgia over things.
You make me feel horribly old. ;_;
