Well, I seem to remember them being rather good at diplomacy. You may not get a chance for that though.
Bingo. I have one thing I'm half-way decent at and so far my chances of actually doing it are slim to none.

I can't hit if my life depends on it, I do less damage in an entire battle than a gnome with a sling does in a single attack, the squishy folks take hits that would have dropped me...I don't know if I'm just terrible at character design or what. Seriously, would the adventures so far have gone much different if I weren't playing? I doubt it.

Did you guys have Jax do anything after I left? I actually had a pretty fun session, though the RNG was a bit more sensitive than usual, it seems. (Badass horse, I'm looking at you.) Anyway, did we ever decide if Armok was good or evil?

We moved you back, then you stood there while that horse came in and did 13 freaking damage.

Nice to know that my character is utterly useless. Do bards ever get less terrible? Because in honesty this was probably the least fun session I've ever had.
Bards actually become fairly powerful as time goes on and they gain more bardic music and spells. As for directly effecting the story, I wouldn't worry about that much yet. We've had what, three sessions? Not much time for anyone to change the plot overmuch. Can you honestly say that any one person has had a constant hand in shaping the plot thus far?

To be fair, I should have verified that they were actually extorting us. I had simply assumed that refusing to give the name of the 'Marshal' after being asked meant that they didn't know, and thus never received the orders in the first place. Thus acting without order to extort money from travelers, a Knight couldn't stand by and let them harass travelers. In the future, I will investigate such matters more thoroughly. My apologies to the diplomacy crowd.

That horse may have been singlehandedly responsible for our RNG issues this session- using all the good rolls.

Great, so if the RNG or the plot hates us we became outlaws.

My great is not sarcastic.

...

But we could try to talk the possible guards/angry outlaws/bridge trolls out of this... can we?

Well, we had already killed most of the guys on and around the bridge...

Were you actually being melodramatic? Then you are damn good at it, I didn't even realize. I thought your complaining was pretty from-the-heart and honest without getting to be whiny.

...Sarcasm? :P

Some of it was from the heart, but the whole "I might as well not even play" thing, looking back, was just plain whiny.

So yeah, obviously I didn't make it back in time for the rest of the session. :-\ Next time I'll make sure I have a few hours lined up without anyone else wanting to use the computer. What happened after I left?
Did I get devoured by wolves in my sleep?

In a few words, wolves got gored by Barb's horse. Then we were supposed to diplomacy with people from a bridge asking for a toll.

Barb decided it would be fun to kill them (no offense, I'm just joking here :P) and went berserker on them. Or, more accurately, his horse went, goring enemies left and right, while the knight himself alternated between bad sword fumbling and hitting. In the end of things, Barbarossa's horse is the MVP and should be the party leader. I have the log here somewhere.
