World history and Goblins.

What is the life span of a goblin. I genned a new world with a 1050 year history and I found a goblin that lived from the beginning of time till she was finnaly murdered in 729.

She ruled a goblin town called "The Bloated Flies" from 563 till the day of her death in 729.

WTF? She outlived ELVES for gods sake!

Goblins, like elves, are immortal.
They cannot whatsoever die of old age.

This is a side-effect of dwarven animal training (hit animal with hammer until it forgets that it hates you, then lovingly cuddle it).

Goblins and elves have no maxage, so they are basically immortal if nobody kills them. Still goblins tend to murder their leaders, so it's rare to have one that gets that old.

I just found an older goblin. Lived 979 and has a kill list of 6,377 (none named).

The goblins name was Usbu Ustogzolak.

Killed by a human dispite the fact she was a goblin leader for 20 years.

Now that I have learned that goblins are immortal all the more reason to kill them.

*edit*

I just found a husband and wife necromancer team. They are still married after 1050 years.

That is quite an accomplishment. How old was it? Begins to explain goblin bow and crossbowmasters by a long shot.

How the hell does an immortal creature outlive another immortal creature?

The -copper bolt- misses the goblin!
The -copper bolt- hits the elf in the head, breaking the skull and tearing the brain through the skull!
The elf is unconscious
The elf is dead

It was somewhere around 970 years old.

A goblin lifespan is the time it takes for a serrated disc trap to trigger :P

For me, a goblins lifespan is literally nonexistant, as i've never gotten a siege/ambush.

In my world gens its usually the constant attacks by ravenous Hydras, Forest/Jungle Titans and Night Trolls that do them in. And its always the royalty that gets targetted.
Meanwhile all goblins have to worry about are the ocasional murder by their overlord, one or two Night Trolls and Titans and wars.
