She turned to address the general three others."So shall we split the rations and begin making a survivable encampment? I'd at least want to see a roof over my head before night falls, preferably out of wood. What say you all? The Forest?"

"Gotta watch out for that one later.  Well, the forest sounds good to me.  Any of you have any survival experience?"

The Camera Zooms in to the north, two separate groups making their way to the foreboding forests.

Welcome back! We return to find divisions have already been made. John has split off from the main group, and currently marches toward the forests, parallel to the rest of the group.

John and Anderson got the short stick, and will be forging ahead without a ration. They'll have to find or steal food soon if they hope to survive long!

[3] [6] [1] It seems the larger group has scavenged some items! Ferren finds 3 pebbles on the outskirts of the stone circle, likely chipped off due to our slaves. Axel finds a Whippersnap! These plants act much like the cotton of the human homeworld, but the 'cotton' is much more tougher. He quickly weaves it into a usable yard long piece of string, about an inch in diameter.

Pauly finds one of our crowd favorites, the Ambush Snake! Reaching his hand into its den, the snake lashes out, sinking its fangs into Pauly's hand. The foolish human's right hand will be paralyzed for a long time.

(Pauly will be unable to perform 2 handed actions for 5 turns, ending on at the beginning of turn 7).

I will use the color green to describe the environment, 'what you see' essentially.

Both groups have arrived at the Northern Forests. Small and Large trees alike cluster together, creating a canopy that darkens the sky. Strange sounds can be heard emanating from the tree tops, while silent vines move slowly about in concentrated pockets, feelers moving about the forest floor.

I think I'm going to morph this a bit, and less about inner conflict and more about team conflict. I shouldn't expect the B12 folk to attack each other, we're just too friendly. There will still be advantages to going alone or in smaller groups, however. Your goal is still to be the last one alive.

I may also ditch the camera view. While it was fun at first, it makes it hard to show the results of actions. I may use the camera/host part when it seems appropriate(summing up the turn, important events, so on).

I also plan to change the name to "Roll to Game Show" as suggested before in a while, so be aware of that. In keeping with the name change, I'll be adding a voting system that will affect the game significantly in a few turns.

Whippersnap: A plant that is a good source of string/rope. Found in areas with high sunshine, and low moisture.

Ambush Snake: Makes it's dens in the rolling hills of the center and south. Ambushes prey nearing it's den with a paralytic toxin, allowing it to kill and consume it.

"Ah well. We'd better go find some food, quick, or we'll all starve eventually. Any ideas?"

Axel scratches his chin for a moment, before replying.

"If we can make some kind of trap for that snake thing back there that bit Pauly back there, we could cook that as well as use it's body parts for stuff. Try to find some kind of wood for making weapons or stuff, but be careful of those vines, they don't look good."

He then pockets the string quietly, thinking that it might be useful somehow later. String was always useful after all.

Go look for some dead vines, but be careful not to touch any of them, alive or dead, or get near any of the moving ones.

"Aaagh, hand snake!  Not again!"
He shakes his hand around limply.
Then he searches the area for sticks or wood, dividing it into a bundle of firewood, wood good for building with, and reserving the sharpest or heaviest stick for use as a one-handed spear or club.
While he's searching for wood he thinks out loud to the others.
"Sounds like there's something alive up in the canopy.  Probably best not to mess with it til we know what they are.  We could also eat random plants to find out what's edible.  Or we could resort to cannibalism.  We also need to think about water, remember."

Water has been abstracted out. I mean, I could include the need for it, but that might be verging it on the too complicated side. Of course, there are other uses for water. You're not going to find much water in a forest, though. You will find some in the caves however, for better or worse.

Digestion actually creates a lot of water, due to how it operates*. Since you're metabolism has increased, you get all the water you need. Some animals actually never drink a drop of water, getting all the water they need from digestion*

*True Facts. I think one of the animals is the kangaroo rat. Well, most of its water comes from digestion, anyway. Something like 2/3s.

It's true, the koala is one of these animals. It never drinks water, but eats enough of a certain leaf to get all the water it needs.
