We crashlanded. This could make them mistook us for a meteorite maybe?

Update coming tomorrow.

They mistook the ship for a friendly crash-land caused by unknown mechanical failures. A crash of such speed and impact would generally be fatal to humans, so they assume the same holds true for most other species.

Space is big and the humans are out of the way of most things. Most people who go there are there for trade, vacation, and tribute. Just about everything on Earth can be found in greater quantities elsewhere, so there's not much to conquer. It's basically the backwoods of the habitable universe. Pirates come by, but a good deal are killed, because humans are also good at killing.

The storm delayed the over-flight, and very little survives or is worthy of retrieval at such distance at such time when there is plentiful material in the ground and other things to do, pretty much. The flight being shot down was chalked up to a not-uncommon problem and written off as well. The area of the Hive is visible from satellite, but most of the looking won't find you yet. Most likely.

So humans mercenaries are the only valuable ressource on earth, galactic-wide market speaking?

given the apparent lack of detection, and how Our Food Source is viable inside, and poor weather makes some surface activities hazardus, we should relocate all surface plants to a new chamber inside.

we should further not bother with some surface activities, but dig down to 3 or 4 hundred m and set up there ...

anyway, tech seems to be easy, but resources are limited ... Focus for nearterm should be food and efficiency.

Hell if I know.  Pretty humourous suggestion, but utterly useless in the case of roleplaying, if indeed the whole game world was one whole huge ass field of fruit.

The reason why we wanted to plant the flowers outside is so that they can adapt themselves. If the flowers manage to thrive here, we can easily spread further

We should still dig down thou, if nothing else to be out of reach if someone nukes us.

Speaking of that, a specialized digging drone is probably a good idea. As is hiding things more properly and avoiding to visible surface activities.

Also; I assume the reactor uses the fuel, is this correct?

Jup, the reactor is a fusion one, running on hydrogen isotopes.

So: Does everyone agree with this plan.

1/2 night: Finish the insulation
Rest of the time:
-Queen and tech drones: Automated food producer
-Everyone else digs down, in an angle of about 45 degrees and away from the crash site. Take care to implement the occasional horizontal pieces and even going back up a bit to avoid things rolling down and crushing everything below. Look for ice along the way.

Yes. Humans are pretty much valuable as mercenaries, livestock salesmen, and technicians.

The reactor pretty much is running on hydrogen from the water We dumped in it. You are certainly capable of processing the Pollen Fuel into a liquid fuel, and greatly suspect that at some point in the plant's life cycle, organic fusion will occur. It's simply a matter of developing a way to harness it. And, of course, finding when this happens.

You decide that the Hive must be protected from all threats - cold, food, and attack. Since We cannot currently engage in aboveground digging to lay in armor plate, or point defense, You instead decide to finish insulating the Hive. A Mass Drop will kill Us dead, to be fair. One plate of Armor, even from a heavy assault ship like Ours, wouldn't stop it. You save most the Thermal Insulation for future underground Flower Chambers, but line the Queen's Chamber with a part of it. You and the advanced Drones proceed into the Laboratory and work on assembling a Synthetic Food Synthesizer. It is completed in record time, although calibrating it for optimal nutrition will take some trial and error.

The rest of the time, You order Us to dig away from the crash site, and to reinforce the tunnels to prevent a collapse. There is very little We can do about everything already planted, but everything else can be moved deep underground. Once again, we fail to find ice.

It is morning. All previous actions are STILL possible. The Sensory Array will be fully online and working with a "map" by mid-day.

There is no Food produced. The Flowers are busy saving energy for Fruit.

- Install Armor Plating. 1 Day
- Explore Structure. 1 Day
- Eggs and Larvae. 1/2 Day [specify which and how many, as well as any modifications you desire for the larvae to adapt]
- Examine Biped Test Subject corpses. 1/2 Day
- Something else?

So this are the options.

I think we should do eggs and larvae, and examine the biped test subject corpses. That way we might be able to use them before they go bad.

Quote from: Action 1.0
-Queen: Eggs and larvae:
Hatch:
      -1 predator
      -1 soldier
      -8 basic drones
      -3 flying drones
      -10 dedicated digger drones
All will become more camouflaged and the flyers a bit more storm resistant
Larvae:
-Have the 10 drone larvae evolve into a cold resistant variety, that can work at night.

-Queen: Make sure the Nutri-o-matic works fine. As soon as we're sure it doesn't poison anyone, just mix it with normal food.

All others are to install the armor plating and cover it with a thin layer of Martian sand. That stuff tends to stick to everything, so it won't be much of a problem

Better yet, remove all the water from the bipeds. We can then delay research as long as we need to, and also gain more water.

Additionally, we should look for some sort of lichen or other organism the bipeds have introduced as part of their terraforming.

Or we can gather ice.

Mars has some underground glaciers and atmospheric water.
