dwarven fortress found on earth?

'Giant wombat' mass grave found

could it be the refuse stockpile of an ancient dwarven outpost?

We're a pretty large landmass, I wouldn't really call us an 'island'.

That being said, there's only one civilisation, so trading would be a bit difficult.

We can tell something more about them from this.

They obviously had the [MOUNT] tag.

That seems like (Combat) Search And Rescue vehicle to me more than a traditional mount.
