Alternatively, drop them in a pit of trained dogs.

I drop them into a pit with a giant.

Thanks to all of you for your answers.

It could not be better to have an action for military something as "Kill prisoner"?

I will try dropping from very high.

Dig a hole to drop them, at the lowest point dig out a huge chamber and have a water reservoir nearby and have a magma reservoir nearby. Killing prisoners while casting obsidian is always nice.

Or, if you don't know what to do with all those excess weapons you created to train up your weaponsmiths -> use that huge chamber and fill it with weapontraps, link them to some pressure plates in your main movement areas and enjoy the carnage.

Or use that chamber as life target training pens for your future elite crossbowdwarfes.

Endless possibilities.

Nope. The military interface probably doesn't want an extra order in the interface just yet.

Give the job to the animal caretakers, they could use some work.

Didn't someone post about the efficiency of leaving the greenskin his shield, then placing them on an isolated area overlooked by an observation gallery used by marksdwarves for training?  Sure, you occasionally lose a gobbo to a bolt to the face, but gobbo noob shield users should be good enough at blocking noob crossbowdwarves shots, right? :D

Should be possible, since you do not even need to disarm caged prisoners any more if you pit them somewhere. I just found out by accident as I scrolled through the list of caged prisoners and totally forgot about that in the meantime the last invader that was chasing a cat all the time finally decided to take the caged pathway instead of the one filled with weapontraps and he was escorted through half the fortress by a fisherdwarf who pushed him into the pit, with all his weapons and in full armor, which didn't help against the trap filled floor there. Every step a trap, sometimes I feel pity for them.

I was like: WTF why is he moving that one on this route? But everything went well.

Edit: just realized, it was a Goblin Hammerlord that was pitted in full armor and weapons. Ouch.

He probably went along quietly in order to try and avoid attention and further embarrassment. :)

"Great! Just great.  First I get caught in a cage, then escorted by a fisher-beard.  And he doesn't even have the dignity to treat me as 'dangerous' and take my weapons away.  My life is so horrible.  Someone just kill me already! Hey, they releasing me into this arena?!  Maybe I'll get to die like a warrior in battle against some horrible mon-*SPLAT*" The Goblin Hammerlord has been struck down by a masterwork trap.

It's even funnier when the escorting dwarf gets distracted by something, like another gobbo in the pit. He cancels pitting, but doesn't release the prisoner, and carries him back to the cage. The job isn't cancelled, and is repeated after some time. That way the goblin prisoner may be dragged  to-and-fro until his natural death.

This.Happens to me all the time. I'm having troube staging deathmatched if the people are too cowardly. I'm working around it, but still, annoying.
