Any chance you could manually check with the squad fire command if suspected enemy positions are in range of my current position please?

Well, in that case, get ready to take pot shots at the disembarking infantry, but do not leave the buildings - secrecy, suprise and the cover they offer is valuable for the slow moving snipers

I was wondering that earlier so I tried, the closest thing is the half-track, but it is both slightly uphill and through trees, so you would really have to move a team to have any kind of shot (and now it appears to be moving away, but the enemy infantry are in a similar position).
