Definitely tickles my roguelike fancy.
I've been playing it lots too. My best so far was as the goat: I reached 67 years after a string of 5 embarassing failures that convinced me that the animal was cursed. Go figure. xP
Same thing happened with the porcupine. After thinking to myself "This is impossible... this animal has -nothing- going for it", I lasted some 40-odd years and broke 100k score when it died.
I'm enjoying playing as the grazers more than the predators, though both are a lot of fun and have a suprising amount of strategy once you wise up from the rookie habits of eating every piece of food you run across, or mating before getting your stat boosts/resetting area food levels inappropriately. The one thing I wish was different, somehow, is the Challenges in survival mode. I dislike that I can fail a challenge, but I don't get a retry. It makes completing the rest of the challenge list feel like a pointless endeavor, because even if I complete all of them successfully, that one failure makes the final reward unachievable.
Favourite animal to play so far? The goat ended up being suprisingly fun, especially in the later years where every street was filled with roaming cheetah and packs of lions. The horse was also amusing due to its 'stomp' attack that can squash mutliple toy dogs in a single brutal strike.
All in all, I'm very glad I got this game. If you're curious or on the fence about it, I'd highly recommend it. It's addictive!
