I've started A different topic asking help, but thought I might as well ask here.

I've been having trouble with an entity where their civs simply won't generate. I've checked all the biomes and my errorlog is empty, here are

I dont know, but my guess is that you can't have a city in a mountain biome. Try changing this [EXCLUSIVE_START_BIOME:MOUNTAIN] to a different biome type.

I don't think there is an easy way to do this. You can try making the connector part a different material that has a low melting point (i.e. the arm instantly melts and the hand falls off the body).

I want to make certain animals (ie giant versions) to have stronger bones which can be used to make somewhat stronger weapons/armor. Will making a new material template for these bones, a new body plan that uses said template but keeps the rest of the body with the default tokens and then using the cv remove/add tokens to swap the default body plan with the new one work?

You should add [STANCE] to your vines there or they can't be used to walk and the critter will probably be lying down and crawling around, unless that's the idea

It's possible I guess, it's probably going to take some fiddling. I want to do something similar and make wooden/mushroom versions of critters, so I'll be having a good at it as well.

That was my plan. Have them just crawl around. Is there any big downside to this (combat disadvantage, etc)?

I think there is a combat disadvantage, yes, but I don't know what it actually is... You can of course set their crawling speed to whatever. No idea if there's anything else, but if they were to stand up they wouldn't be able to use their vines for wrestling, so that's a bonus then.

You should add [STANCE] to your vines there or they can't be used to walk and the critter will probably be lying down and crawling around, unless that's the idea

That was my plan. Have them just crawl around. Is there any big downside to this (combat disadvantage, etc)?

Prone creatures are easier to hit, and successful melee hits on them get a 2x velocity bonus.

Thanks. Maybe I will just increase their dodge skill more and add more enemies to the spawn timer (was thinking 100 at the moment)

They are made out of pumpkin and plant vines so I'm not too worried about the damage bonus on them lol
