We have a few options here; north is, in all likelihood, a frozen hellhole, so we should find out the climate on the north end of the Motherlands before sending a voyage there. Nuke, would you please describe the climate on the four cardinal sides of our homeland?

To the north, the weather is cold, and mountains rise. The seas themselves are said to freeze over in the winter, and only beasts and plants which embrace the cold can survive. Godless barbarians roam the icy wastes, who occasionally travel south to rape and pillage.
To the west lies a great ocean, which no one is foolish enough to cross.
To the east lies a great sea, which some fools claimed to have crossed. Heathen empires are said to rule the opposing shores.
South of the motherlands, storm-swept straits join the western ocean and the eastern seas. South of the straits lie the Nearsouthlands, arid beaches inhabited by nomadic heretics. South of the Nearsouthlands, the weather grows ever warmer, and none can say what inhabits the tropical seas beyond.

I say we go West! East, then. Trade routes could be more lucrative than just goods.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

We're in Spain, aren't we.

Assuming we're in a Mediterraineanesque area, we need to head east/southeast. Barring any objections, I propose we buy a ship and send it off into the great unknown!

War must be, while we defend our lives against a destroyer who would devour all; but I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend.

Okay, we all agree on east. South-east has two votes out of three, so I'm making an executive decision and finalizing the movement to purchase a ship and send it south-east.

> Spend ten dimes from the coalition's reserves to buy a ship.
> Send ship south-east in search of new lands and valuables.
> Instruct crew members to not do anything unduly stupid on the trip; survival is the highest priority.

Since I'm the one saying this, RM Ventures contributes all three of its dimes to the purchase. Other companies must divvy up the rest of the costs as they see fit.

Mikhail & Sons agrees to make a donation in support of the purchase of a seafaring vessel in the amount of NO MORE AND NO LESS THAN THREE DIMES.

I still motion that we head due northeast. I shall leave the decision of when this is to be done to the other members of the Coalition.

Crystalix Shiny and/or Sharp Co will contribute AT LEAST ONE DIME, more (BUT NO MORE THAN THREE) if the required total is not met.

Hey, when will I know if my gamble pays off?
Also, what I meant by "how do we know if a ships sinks", is do you roll a dice or something?

Considering the round trip to the Nearsouthlands is two months, it would be strange indeed if it took any less than four months for Roger the Nearsighted to return from his voyage; it is quite likely it will take longer.
Ship sinkage is determined using hidden dice rolls. Until someone invents the radio*, however, you have no way of knowing if, when, or where a ship has sunk.

*Invention of the radio is not feasible within the game's timeframe. Do not try to invent the radio. Unlike in other situations where I say not to do something, this time I mean it.
