Anyone who thinks tricorns are in bad taste simply has no idea of how to rock a fashionable hat.

I'm this close to photoshopping Nicholas Cage's head onto my avatar. We're on a precipice above meme-infested waters here, tread carefully.

I used to use a Avatar-based identification system. Now everyone is Morgan Freeman after I read this thread. Which is getting creepy. Thanks Mental Images of People? thread.

If you do that, I might just have to reconsider my own choice of avatar. Dangerous territory indeed.

Regarding tricorns:

If style goes to the '80s to die, then it goes to the 18th century to put on a gimp suit, be locked in a trunk and forgotten for 40 years, and then be discovered by someone's grandchildren.

We are those grandchildren and it will be glorious.

Reading these comments makes me think I need an avatar. I just might have to cave in under this imagined pressure.

I now view you as a knife wielding homicidal maniac.

Previously it was a gun or maybe an axe.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.
