Ciel looks at Pancaek. That's... his name?

"... 'Space Magic'? I use PK amps. Quick and mostly quiet killings. Effective torture method."

She makes a mental note to herself to avoid this man... person if possible.

[Pancaek]

Pan turns his head and focuses his cameyes on Ciel, maintaining eye contact all the while he talks.

"Yes. Amps are space magic. Until you can explain to me how they work, they will remain as such. Forget torture, you're a long ways from being that good. Quick and quiet is right, but only if you get it right."

He leans in until he's uncomfortably close to Ciel, face to face

"Though, given our track record with amps...you'll probably manage to kill yourself within your first three times using that thing. And if you're not careful enough with it, and you won't be, you'll kill a whole bunch of people at the same time."

Kyle peeks his head in.
"Unless some jackass clips you with an MG. Then you get the plesant experience of bleeding out in some kitchen."

[Gentlefish]

Ciel, having to deal with someone in her face telling her how she's going to fuck up an amp she's managed to use fine before she got on this godawful ship, returns a cool stare.

Then she jumps at the sound of Kyle's voice. So much for calm and cool posturing.

She replies to the strange man in front of her whose voice reminds her of tomatoes.

"I'm... Sure I'll be able to handle myself just fine. I don't try to boil skyscrapers to the ground."

[Pancaek]

Pan responds to Kyle without breaking eye contact with Ciel

"Man, tell me about it. I lost my previous head to that idiot on the MG."

Pan nods at what Ciel says

"Well, it's a start. Think small rather than big. Though you may want to run some kind of training course or something for your amps. You know, so we don't get another China-9. Or Ice-9. Or STAN.
Amps are bad news, m'kay?"

"Yeah, whatever happened to him anyways?"

"If we're going to compare injuries, I have three artificial major organs, thanks to him. And as far as I know, he's hiding around here, somewhere. Never went on a mission."

[Pancaek]

Pan breaks eye contact as the conversation veers off towards the idiot on the MG

"You know, I totally forgot to look for that guy after the mission. I was going to hold him in place with my amp, Tear off his legs and beat him with them. I wonder why I didn't do that...must have slipped my mind"

"The half hour straight of electrocution wasn't punishment enough?" Hasala asks, slightly amused. 

[Gentlefish]

Ciel nods slightly at Pancaek's suggestion. After all, she could be rusty. Who knows what stasis does to a mind?

"Sounds like a plan."

[Pancaek]

"But that wasn't me punishing him. How can it be enough if I can't hear him beg for mercy?"

He looks back at Ciel

"Good, it's nice to see that you're not above taking advice, cloud. You can try out the AM's VR course. Or I'm willing to give some personal pointers. I'll be getting my skin ripped off and replaced by better skin in a bit, though."

Hasala's ears figuratively perk up. "AM VR course? There are VR courses for amplifiers?"

[Pancaek]

"Hmm? Oh yeah, me and Gorat ran one once. Learned a few tricks from the AM. Learned that it was absolutely necessary to get a decomp installed asap because I was putting way too much juice in. There's also a course on defending against all sorts of attacks I ran once, useful stuff to gauge how well you're doing."

* Swordsmith sits up at the chance to make buying a decompensator an IC decision

"Can anyone access those courses, or is there a payment or permission required, first? And what is a 'decompensator'?"

She nods again at caek. Skin ripped off? She reminds herself to avoid this man.
