((Posting this early in the morning to try and address people's questions. spellink erreurs and other miztakes inkoming.))
((I did post actions, but they weren't in your thread..))
((I read all of the threads, but yeah, I obviously didn't read the other ones as closely as this one. Sorry, I kinda went with the analysis Steve or people themselves gave or from my memory when determining if someone was active/useful.))
((Another option would be for those veterans who wish for their standard pay to be spread out among the (active) newbies, and they just keep the bonus. I say this because some veterans are earning 4-5 token bonuses, in addition to 4 from the fund. Or, newbies could just ask veterans for tokens after the fact. I know some would be willing to donate.
On another note, the the beginning of the character isn't the most token-intensive part of building. It's the middle. You have to get the gear you want/need to to better in missions to really afford the endgame equipment. And that gear is much more expensive than starting gear. Unless you're me and just get a free laser rifle.))
((Certainly an option, but way too hard for me to determine who gets what, and would take too long to ask all the vets if they wanna give up pay. Which most wouldn't want anyways, I'm afraid.))
((The second rule sounds good. The first...well, there should be a clause about reducing pay at the end of a mission to keep stuff you buy for it, but other than that great.))
((Problem is, you can then buy battlesuits for 20 fund token, then pay the AM 10 at mission end, and bam: battlesuit at half price. The whole picture is a little more complicated, with different overall pay for the others, but I think you see my point.))
((I really dislike this system, not only do newbs get nothing but those who dutifully perform the boring jobs also get screwed over because their actions, while important, go largely unnoticed.
Also, why am i apparently handing out my own personal loot to pay people? I dont recall ever volunteering it.))
various actions.
((I'm pretty sure everyone's operating under the logic of 'Auron, give us some of that stuff you got or we'll send Jim/Miya/Assorted to beat the hell out of you and take the stuff anyway.))
((Which is complete BS. its my loot, im the one who should decide which items if any go into the team fund.))
((I do have a track record of extreme accuracy against teammates.))
((And its only by my grace that you can see, and by one annoying teammates grace that i didnt give you three eyes.))
((Question: who killed the UE who you got that cloak from? Miyamoto did, with that expanding heat blade thing. Did Auron help in killing that man? Nope, Miya did it himself. The only reason Auron has that cloak is because he rushed over to grab everything he could back then.
Why would Auron get that cloak, instead of say Bishop, who was there to? And it's not like Auron needed to take any risk in collecting that cloak, it was literally just laying there. So what makes Auron deserve that cloak more than somebody else? Loot like those black boxes he can keep of course, that was all him and not really worth tokens anyway.
Also, I said it like 2 times before that we'd divide the loot (that's worth any tokens at least) and you never spoke out against it then, neither did you when I posted the token total previous 2 times. You only really just noticed?
As I explained before, the reason to pool loot like that is so there would be more to give to newbies and players who are never online at the right time to have a chance at looting anything, since PW does his actions in the order as they're posted. Without this there would be even less to go around.)
About pay: again, my memory is only so good, so people pulling sentry duty can go unnoticed right now. If Milno's team tokens go back into the pool though, I can pull some more people into the standard pay bracket, and maybe even upgrade said bracket to 2 tokens if I do my numbermagick just right. No promises though.)
((What Kriellya said.
Also, I'm now comparing notable people to the leaders of the early Soviet Russia.
Steve = Marx
Miyamoto = Lenin
Caellath = Stalin
Jim = Bukharin
Er...I dunno who else. Still.))
((The whole game is a parallel to the Soviet Union as a whole. At first, everything was simple: All were equal, everyone got the same pay and did similar jobs, and most jobs were completed with crude but efficient displays of mass power. Now the whole thing has collapsed and we've been reduced to proto-capitalists squabbling over what little things we have left.))
((Erm, thanks? Never been called a Lenin before. Could do worse I guess.
Big reason for the squabbling is that previously, it was a 'capitalist' system where there was plenty (since Steve was a bottomless pit of tokens), yet now it's a 'communist' system with a very limited amount to go around. In other news, being the bean counter when there isn't enough to go around is
fun ))
