"Huh? Where-oh shit, my clothes!"
Chaz quickly opened the box and put on the clothes inside.
'Now that that's sorted out, where am I?'

Examine the room, & see if there is a map to use.

((Note to self: When back on ship, take the combat drones and replace the lasers with cameras, thus making a vastly improved scout eye. I could call them Kinos. Possibly use a cameye camera/lenses.))
Is that a reference to "kino's journey"? I really hope so.

((Unfortunately not. Reference to the short-lived (and not nearly as good as the other two SG shows) Stargate: Universe. Kinos in that were effectively little hovering camera balls.))

"Aw crap, that's goggle guy's melting cube, isn't it?"

Look at the cube. From as much distance as possible.

"Ah, that reminds me, Steve, sir. The capsules that these guy sells, are they chosen from the research team's whole... arsenal, or are there things that are off-limits to him? Like, well-known or well-researched stuff, or objects that have been duplicated since?"

Ask.

((Caved in and decided to roll myself up a character. ^_^ Well, not literally roll up, but, eh. PW's got the sheet. Yes, I am a tech.))

Anton Chernozorov wakes up blearily, and stumbles out of the stasis pod, oblivious to any immediate personal crises anyone of the nearby people may or may not have. "Welp, this place seems nice".

Arrive on the scene. Eye surroundings dejectedly.

((Word in advance: I'm not a terribly good roleplayer, nor do I have a terribly good grasp of English, being from a rather English-impaired country of Russia. I will try to do my best regardless. Just... don't expect me to be an entirely interesting person. Off-the-wall crazy sometimes, yes. But not terribly interesting.

edit: keeping on reading the archive. Armor tinkerers moved up to battleship plate. >_< Oddly, none of the weapon ideas I had have been used yet. Well, I still have two thirds of the way to go.))

((By virus I mean the wierd ass shit the crystal projector bayonette does to people))
Oh, that. Well he doesn't know anything about it, in fact no one around here has really figured out what that does. I guess you'll have to play with it a bit to figure that out. Now, you can do that in VR, but where would the fun be in that when you have so many teammates?

remove data cable, replace it with wireless modem
Copy echolocator micro computer, modify it to connect directly to suit external comms systems and HUD.

Do this, top line should create the remote module and bottom should make bat chip.
make sure the bat chip has wireless connectivity with the remote echolocation modules.
Ensure bat chip sends out 60 encoded pulses per second
Wireless module should send out 25 pulses per second.
Pulse encoding should prevent the same pulse being recorded multiple times, this should eliminate phantom teammates appearing due to echos.

I feel as though I'm missing things here. From what I can gather you what some sort of shark repellant spray central chip that receives signals from outside echolocation module thingies. Riddle me this, Flying nocturnal mammal male, is that at all anything like what you had in mind or am I wrong in a way that would allow me to keep making Batman jokes?

((Also, it still boggles my mind that PW is an English major. I'd have thought he'd be chemistry or something.))
Hmm. I could take that either as a complement that I am reasonably scientifically minded for someone with a literature back ground, or that my chosen profession is vastly at odds with my talents. Hard to say, is it a +5 to Irony's next roll or a -5.

Are ya feeling lucky, punk?  :P
((Mainly the first one, and that I'd expect someone as intelligent as you to have a degree you could actually get a job with. >_>

Better try to turn Milno into a giant cyborg badger next turn just to be safe. That's bound to end well for someone no matter which horrible direction it swings.))
Not actually the degree I'm getting; I just happen to have the education of one.

((Piecewise: I just realized that my current character is a bit too sane, after I finish off my prototype and bullet hell, can I just make Victor Nox go into cryo forever and create a new, delusional character specialized in speech and charisma who thinks that the world is controlled by six-sided dice and that people are possessed by ethereal beings who control them with strings of bold text?))
I suppose. You could just reroll the one you have right now too though.

((After thinking about it for a moment..is that supposed to be Ivan?))

"Murderous people, murderous meat dispenser, murderous demon.."
"..wait, what!?"
As Zephyris turned to the TV, she took another look at the demonlike thing in the corner. Surely the few minutes in VR could'nt have already affected her grasp on reality.
"Hallucinogens in the food maybe..?", she thought, "..probably not.. I hope."

Look at demon again; if I still see it ask Steve about it:

Hey Steve! Um..two simple questions: Over there in the corner..you see that? *points at demon* It's not just me, it's really there, isn't it? Who or what is that!?
>That would be Ivan. Don't worry, he should still be safe to be near. Well, safe-ish. Keep your hands away from his mouth. Well, mouths.

((former sounds good. Those shoulder weapons look nice as well.))
Finish up desgin then see how much it costs and if it can be prototyped. Then exit VR no matter answer and watch tv as well.

Well, if its basically just a melee type Battle Suit, then 20 token and NOPE.

As per mr.Tv he's talking about how a lot of Altered war weapons and systems are actively being dismantled and replaced with newer technology. Apparently they're having some problems with it in some cases.

"Wait, what? What do you mean my head is still there? I was sure it had exploded into gore. Oh well."

Follow Nikitan.

Maurice and his pirate friend shiver their timbers all the way over to the infirmary where a helpful nurse helpfully explains that they cannot reattach arms that are attached or put heads back together if they haven't actually been blown up.

"Huh? Where-oh shit, my clothes!"
Chaz quickly opened the box and put on the clothes inside.

You look around after getting your junk situated. Well, there are lots of beds, a bathroom and zero in the way of maps or map like items.

The cube looks like a cube.  Its sort of silvery and metal and pretty big.

>I dunno. I don't police their internal politics.

You flop out of your stasis pod and onto the floor, naked, cold and covered in snot. You roll onto your back and look around. Beds, pods, bathroom, man who thinks he has no head being lead away while screaming.

"Oh. Well. Thats just dandy."

Anton looks at the man being led away and sighs. "I have a distinct feeling this is going to be a very fun experience." He looks over himself and sighs again. "Okay then, let's start with the problems, and go in sequence."

Locate and apply towel. Locate and apply clothing. Locate and apply food. Locate and report to person in charge. Attempt to avoid crowds or especially excited individuals through this process.

Sort of... i want the central chip to recieve the decoded data from the remote modules but i also want it to tie into the suits external comms and use them as the primary echolocation module.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

((hmm that line of thinking is interesting.....))

-Go to VR

-Bring up list of extremely strong materials (like the edge of the mono blade) and research with following "Tags" - Able to be molded, treatable to be stiff or flexible also high heat conductivity and melting point.

-Message armory master about either a blade that when swung and activated can cut at longer ranges with "blades" of air. Or can be activated to via either release of heated particles via fusion to melt anything or creation of micro-blackholes on the blade edge to produce an infinitely sharp surface that won't be dangerous due to the effects of hawking radiation giving them a life of less than a
second. Also ask if there is a way to apply the enhanced force of a kinetic amp without destroying it.

-Bring up targets at 10 through to 1000 meters at 10 meter intervals find the exact range where the microwave manipulator can no-longer function nominally. setup targets ranging from 10 meters to this range then position such that targets can only be identified via cameras from freindly units. Spawn a teammate and have them be invincible for test purposes and un-armed then synch video feeds and practice taking down targets using this video feed. For Freindly AI just have them sit and aim cam at target occasionally ducking as if to avoid fire. Record results.

-Create a MK III built for the maximum in all feilds but with a predisposition towards movemoent and offense. Use computer to generate

I have the slightest feeling the staff is a bit lacking in psychiatry specialists. First I'm still not sure they checked me after that incident, now this.
Once again, try to get Morul a psychiatrist.
You know, that would be exactly the sort of physician that can reattach limbs which haven't actually been blown up. Maurice told the nurse with a cheerful smile.
Don't worry, Morul: they'll patch your mind up in pretty much no time, I'm sure.

Frowning at the lack of maps, Chaz starts to think about what to do.
'Perfect... Well, there has to be somewhere I should be going to... Maybe there's an armory or something?'

Try and find The Armory.
