Everyone in my forts are in the military. It was basically me saying I got half the fort to fill a pool which they would begin sparring into.

How such a simple thing can prove to be so easy to miscommunicate truly beggars belief. Humans have such a fascinating way of making everything needlessly complicated.

It makes me want to remove your brains just to compare the subtle differences, how tangential thoughts form, the threads stray and become intertwined, like so many spiders webs competing for space and losing their semblance of delicacy, becoming nothing but an obfuscating veil. But alas, cutting you up would not allow me to solve anything and I would remain as ignorant as ever to these things.

Say what if I made a hole in the ceiling over hospital beds and then had dwarves dump water on the "patient" would that help in cleaning the dwarf or would it just be comical to imagine?  because either way I am doing it.

Funnily enough 'Madame', 'Miss', 'Mrs' and of course 'Mistress' as forms of address are all banned in European parliament.

'Ms' and 'Ma'am'  are the only really respectful ways to refer to a woman, but the latter is extremely formal.
Personally I wouldn't say 'Mistress' to anyone outside of the bedroom, and even then I'd say the chance was slim.

I am afraid that the enhatted one is out of luck.

Set the pond to be designated 2z lvls above the patient. It'll clean all of the pollutants off, and replace it with water. Also lovely mist happiness!

So, not a lot really. And the doctors'll still have to clean the patient. But it's always worth doing I guess.

... How is mrs, a title of respect to a married woman, not a respectful way to address a woman?

Because it implies that a woman is defined by her marital status. An adult man is always 'Mr' regardless of whether he is married. It therefore goes to say that an adult woman should be 'Ms' in that case, defined as a woman, an individual.

This is formal address we are talking about, specifically politically correct formal address, but many women will insist on 'Ms' regardless of the setting if titles are being used.

At least in the US, I have run into problems using ma'am, as many women consider it matronly. It has been my experience that many women prefer to be called by their first name even by strangers, and to forgo any honorifics or titles, and seem to take affront if referred to as ma'am.

(Say for instance "excuse me ma'am, you dropped this." May be met with a terse "my name's shirly." Or similar. This creates a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. Amusingly they react fine to a very informal "hun" honorific if presented by a female speaker, eg "you dropped this hun." I am not aware of a suitable honorific to use by male speakers. As such, they get called ma'am, and if they don't like it, tough.)
