What I do not understand is why people seem to assume that minecarts are going to whizz around and do jumps and smash goblins into walls

We can make perpetual motion water reactors, cannons powered by nothing more than the magma they fire, and structures the size of pyramids balanced on a single block of soap. But of course, speeding minecarts are out of the question.  :D

Then it happened. Then I cringed. Then I picked it up and beat him to death with it, and then his buddies, too.
You beat a man to death with his dick?

Eh it doesn't seem any more unrealistic then hooking up two seperate mechanical objects using only two mechanisms regardless of distance involved, or generating infite energy using waterflow and pumps.

Damn it I didn't read page 2, the point was made clearly already  :(

One unrealistic thing does not imply every unrealistic thing. That's dumb.

And that's an ad hominem.

Quote from: Malarauko
I had an above ground garden built in the grounds of my castle and two young dwarves spent time socialising there over the summer and at the end of the summer they were in love. Remember those long summers of your childhood? That first kiss in the gardens while crossbows dwarves shoot goblins above your head? The rain of dead birds as the hunters get to work? Truly Spearhills is a paradise.

Actually, that's not technically an ad hominem, if he's calling the argument dumb.  'Ad hominem': literally, "to the person."
