Wow, I really screwed up just now. For some reason I remembered sight being ahead. But meh, not much lost. Easily fixed in only a couple minutes. Gotta be more careful with flood-revealing areas in the future.

I don't think that was what the liquid crystal was supposed to be. It was supposed to be a bulb filled with crystals, which upon being touched or demand would open and contract, spraying crystal like fluid around it This fluid/crystal would then assimilate thingies. Not in fact, what your idea is saying.
