GamersGate offers 6 games for $5.99 / €4.99 / £3.99

You can pay more and all extra you pay goes directly to the developers of these games (and helps unlock the extras ;-))!

Quote
GamersGate has teamed up with a group of supremely talented developers to create the Indie Fort Bundle – 6 great games at the price of less than one! Not only that, but we’ve made it possible for you to show your support – if you pay more than the minimum $5.99 (or €4.99 or £3.99) price, then all of the extra money goes straight to the devs!

When a certain amount of money has been generated for the devs, we’ll be unlocking bonus content! Make sure to give as much as you can to get hold of everything from soundtracks & artwork to the devs next games!

If you want to chat or have any questions, let us know via @alexpoysky (the indie pr guru himself!) or @gamersgate (that's us!)

Now help secure some amazing future games, while getting a few to keep you busy while you wait ;)

Games included in the bundle:
Kenshi (Alpha)
Cardinal Quest
Black Market
Wanderlust: Rebirth
Devil Whiskey
Steel Storm: Burning Retribution (Indiefort Bundle)

The more you give, the more goodies are included in the bundle!

Puckbang (arcade game) - when 1337 bundles have been sold

Cardinal Quest Soundtrack - when 9000$ in sales is reached

Devil Whiskey Soundtrack - when 25000$ in sales is reached

shhh... it's a secret! - when 50000$ in sales is reached

Rambros (in development) - when 100000$ in sales is reached

Developer thank you video - when 20000$ in sales is reached

Mordor v1.1, The Grim (in development) - when 50000 bundles have been sold

INTERESTING HOW HEMMINGJAY GAVE AWAY THOSE EXACT GAMES. HMMMMMMMMMM.

My theory: Hemmingjay is the head of the Paradox marketing division, and is involved in a conspiracy to overturn EA and Activision by the power of independent development studios.

Maybe it's parasitic. It never loses its flavor because you eventually die from having your nutrients stolen by it.

That video... It is the worst.

I've actually not played any of these games, and I've only heard of Kenshi and Steel Storm, so this is pretty cool. Has anyone whos played any of the others got any opinions on them?

I believe our good friend AlexPoysky was instrumental in putting this bundle together. I am buying as there is at least $60 worth of games in there and I only have some of them.

and no, I don't work for any of these game companies  8)

I ended up buying this package mostly because I have it on very good authority that Hemmingjay is both working for Paradox and is a liar about every thing else :), and due to the fact it has that glorious game Kensai which I have been following for quite some time now.
Hopefully all the games listed will be fun to play-through. No time to try them out tonight though since it's soon becoming early morn but hopefully tommorow I can confirm if this is tue.

Several of those games I've been meaning to try, but how is Gamersgate support? I've heard mixed things about them over the years. Steam has generally been pretty good to me but I've been burned badly by Direct2Drive. Which end of the spectrum are they on?

Been good to me. Steam support is pretty much the worst support of all digital medium these days (hell, even ORIGIN has live support). GG has a decent downloader and the majority of the games are DRM unless listed otherwise.  If I didn't already have the majority of my gaming list on Steam I would have migrated to greener pastures long before (although GOG.com is looking better everyday).

The website has gone under a rather strange make-over with an aweful lot of gimmicks added, although they can all be safetly ignored. Prices are also much better than Steam if you live outside of the US. I'm the sure the majority of SEA, Europeans and Ocenians would respect GG's pricing. No bullshit Russian store to mock you either.

Hmm.  I kind of want those, but at the same time I don't want to subscribe to yet another digital service and keep track of my games there.

Somebody needs to make a digital distribution app that just combines all your game services into one.   :P

Gamersgate is pretty good for a couple of reasons;

They are too small to ignore the needs of their users

They support lesser known developers that don't have access to Origin or Steam

They generally err on the side of the consumer if there is a problem

Man... I really want Kenshi and this is cheap so I'm probably gonna get it. HOWEVER, I already have Steel Storm and Cardinal Quest, so I may be hosting a mini-giveaway soon? I'll see.

The "Small" part is sort of what I"m worried about. Granted, there's reasons to fear giant corporations *cough valve* *cough origin* But how do I know GG will be around in 5 or 10 years? It was forever before I actually had anything on my steam list besides halflife 2. Maybe I"m a bit outdated in this era, but I'm still hesitant about not having a hard copy of something. (Yes I could burn my own cds, but for some reason, home burned cds never last long for me. cheap media or drive, I don't know, but most of my backups from 10 years ago are unusable at this point even if my commercial cds which are older are still fine.)

Actually it is because one of the ways to increase sales of a game is to increase your customer base.

It is why some great games that have had little-no advertisement have often become stunningly popular. Because people who bought it started talking.

I have Wanderlust: Rebirth; it plays a bit like a retro Diablo. I found it pretty fun but it can get VERY grindy if you're aiming for top equipment. Much more fun with live players, especially since AI partners are dumb as rocks. Your "level" is determined by how well you did in previous stages; combos, high damage, not getting hit, etc. all give points that determine your rank and how many points you can allocate.

Last I checked, you can play the first three missions of easy difficulty before paying, so you can get an idea of it there. It IS only online play though so you need an internet connection. (You don't have to play with other people though.)

That they give every last cent above the minimum directly to the developers is indeed a very nice thing.

Just tried to buy it, solely to give money, but forcing me to register an account in gamersgate almost drew me off.

The greatest thing about Humble Bundle is that its so uncomplicated to give them monies!
