Hehe.

Well, hopefully this will do:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

A bit cooler than you hoped, I think, but it should still work out nicely.

If not, well... STRIKE THE EARTH!

Well...

This should be interesting...

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Oh, and, bad wording on my part, I'm sure, but in this game the positions of "overseer" were actually more of a barony, an annoying couple of people enforcing the rule of the King and Queen on the leader on the fort:p

Speaking of which, we still need overseers to nag players, and players to take the save once I'm done... Maybe it'll pick up tomorrow.

1st Granite, 51.

Great. Not only have we been sent to this Armok-forsaken frozen... Hell-hole doesn't seem to work there. Anyway, this... PLACE, by that insane queen's desire to breed WAR POLAR BEARS... Is that even possible? Let me start over...

Olin Regsterus, Expedition Leader, first log entry
18 Granite, 51.

Greetings, to whomever may find this. I bid you good tidings, from Gishdistkalur, the future Mountainhome!

I say whomever may find this, because I fear... You may not find us...

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

As soon as we arrived, we were caught in a fairly freakish weather pattern. As you can see on the map, we almost made it to safety... Almost. Outwardly, at first, we all seemed fine. But our own self-examinations reveals a far worse fate; we feel like crap. We tried to hurry and secure our supplies, but that Loathsome Muck just falls so often, and so thick! Thankfully, it appears to evaporate once we walk inside, but the pain is still there... I fear we may not last much longer...

8 Slate, 51.

The pain is unbearable! Somehow, tho, we are managing to work through it. We have some space dug out, working on the farmlands and kitchen now, while the rest are hauling in what they can from outside. Here's a crude map of the fort, so far:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Sorry for the shakiness, every part of my body, inside and out it feels, is covered in blisters. If we survive this,... I forgot to note earlier, the main defense gate was erected some time back, around 14 Granite, I believe. We can lock ourselves in, should the worst happen.

18th Felsite, 51.

Well... Things are progressing, nicely. Our blisters don't seem to be healing any, but at least we aren't dying...

All of our animals we brought were similarly effected. The fort is filled with blistered, oozing creatures. Hope you like your new Mountainhome...

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

25 Felsite, 51.

Well, we've hit aquifer at every point. We've resorted to (*Shudders*) building a carpenters workshop, and using wood for now... Can it get any worse?

... Oh look, more loathsome muck.

PERFECT...

Lol, pretty fun so far, actually. Now we just need more players before my turn is up. Hopefully people will see it over the next few hours. Anywho, it's 1:30 AM, right now, and I still have some paperwork to finish, and then be up in the morning... I must take my leave. Tomorrow: Summer!

Note from the King, found in the next Migrant wave

"Well, I dont approve of my wive's decision of sending you there, I would had preferred you gone somewhere safer, but since you are in hell...no that wont work. Whatever, heres a few tips I found in the legends.

1.Zombies rule the land, stay inside and if something dies, dump it outside, slab and dump. No burials.

2.You likely have found strange weather, they are always there. Just avoid them and you'll be fine.

3.Hammers, our faithful ally, are worthless here. Use axes and swords to slay the undead.

4. Dont use war animals, they will simply die and become more zombies

Hope this keeps you alive.

Love, the king CoraiUnki"

Oh this looks fantastic. I'll take a spot as the Night Overseer (mostly because I'm only around the boards at night, US time at least).

There is one thing that I demand be done to further our Majesties goals. We need a proper kennel area.

It's specifications will be as follows:

9x9 room.
Four freestanding pillars at the 7x7 corners, this will leave a central 5x5 plot. The room will be smoothed and engraved, then channeled out one z level so the room is a full 2 z-levels in size. At the bottom in the 5x5 area our kennels will be constructed after the second level is fully smoothed and engraved. Hallways leading out from the lower level will lead to animal cage rooms to be designed at the successor's descretion.

Rough layout...

I embarked during a Loathesome Muck rainstorm. Precisely 3 months later, everything exposed died.

You're the first to request a turn, lol. You are officially the next turn;-)

I'll upload the save.
