((Can I assume Lukas and me are with the rest already?

Also, not much time, so quick post to get an action at least.))

Miya action: If already with the rest, get going, think about what the Amper could hope to achieve by going in the direction of the Sword. If not, head in the direction he is going and ask Steve if there is a way to cut him off, if yes move that way.

Jim action: get going, think about what the Amper could hope to achieve by going in the direction of the Sword.

((I am assuming that the direction the Amper is taking has been relayed to the team.))

"He's going towards the Sword? That... might be good, but likely to be a problem.

Steve, on the assumption that the Amp Specialist is indeed going towards the Sword, what is the worst he could do? I remember you cautioning us against damaging the docking cradle the ship is in. With the kind of damage he can do, is there a reasonably small amount of vulnerable areas he could hit, that could compromise the cage?

And in case he is not attacking the Sword, is there anyplace he could be going to, that lies in that direction? Auxiliary comms relay? Emergency security station? Something to send a signal, or to get a vantage point to direct his amp attacks?
"

Pack up the drones and move out along the surface, following the direction the Amper has taken. Alter course according to any new information the underground team discovers, if needed.

A new guy arrives at the top of the hole, out of breath.
Dubley shouts down "Hello! Anyone down there? Steve sent me."
Peer into the hole. How deep is it?

It's deep enough that you don't particularly want to jump in without someone to catch you.

Assess viability of going the long way round to cut him off, assuming he continues to progress roughly as he has been.

Stand well back from hole in the meantime. No need for us all to die at once.

It's possible, you suppose. Though you don't know how far he's gone...

You stay away from the hole. Just in case.

Both you guys are still up by the hole, as far as I know...Oh well, doesn't much matter now.

You attempt to follow the underground team on the surface. You don't have to walk far.

advance south whilst cowering behind my shield.

Try to remain as inconspicuous as possible with all these headlamp people behind me.

Hey steve, what kind of range does this guy have on his detection amps?

A sound, like a metal door slamming, echos through the dark hall. A moment later, a wall of spikes, each several feet long, like semi-molten spears, tears through the melted hole and into the room. Jim, Auron, and Stacy leap out of the way easily, pressing themselves against the wall as the spears tear through the room and embed themselves several feet deep in the wall. Michael, on the other hand, isn't so lucky. His body lies near the wall, pierced several times, including one that splits his helmet in two. His cloak flickers and shimmers, attempting to match with the blood pooling around it until it's damaged circuits give out and it simply lays over him like a shroud.

((Aw man, it's on now.))

Back away from the hole quietly, stay at a distance from the others. Instant messaging time.

Dear Biggest Spoon,

It appears that one of our number has been impaled right through the face and vital organs by a storm of horrible semi-molten metal spears. He was the only one harmed. Just checking in, you see. I believe our amp-master is definitely down here, if you will allow me to make such wild speculations.

Love,
Stacy Buttle.

Don't make any noise.

((It's smart of the Amper to hide in the dark, makes him tough to find while he uses ampsenses to not be bothered by it. And makes ambushing him hard, hell he just ambushed us. He had the advantage though, since we had to come to him. Now that we found him, it's a matter of eradicating him quickly before he makes more casualties.))

Upon recieving Stacy's message, Miya quickly contacted the Rapid Response team:

Quote
Amper located, he's in a big room beneath the nuked crater. If anyone's in a position to help, it would be greatly appreciated. Be warned, he's extremely dangerous, don't come alone or unprepared.

Miya action: get there as fast as I can, carry Lukas if I have to. Think about whether my laser could cut deep enough to hit the Amper from above, if I knew his precise location. Think about whether I could use the universal amp from this distance if one of my teammates relayed me his exact position.

((I'm sorry corsair, sucks for you. Those were some pretty bad dice rolls right there.))

Jim action: circle around and out of the way so he won't be hit by a second attack from that direction. Use cameyes to find target and relay this info to rest of team. If he throws stuff at us again, use matter amp to deflect it away from team. Use micro amp to either disable heat-based attacks (like the Amper did with Miya's heatcudgel) or push teammates out of the way with matter amp. If there's an opening, heatblade him in two (as in, create heatblade to bisect him, don't use a heat wave or something like it).

((Thanks. I was going to copypaste that announcement into the other thread, but it's nice to know there's people willing to help. That said, if you'e not skilled with something amp/manip related or can't bring anything unorthodox to the table, you might want to keep searching for the SW. More guns shooting would normally help, but this guy seems to laugh at such things, so if you do decide to come, be careful. No use in more deaths if we can avoid it.))

Also, he's looking for biomass...))
