((The blasted billing department at Cox doubled my payment 'on accident'. How the hell does something like that even happen? Regardless, I'm back, and am set back considerably in my knowledge of current events IU.))

((The short version is that everyone's inching forward in wire cages to protect them from the electrical ash blizzard flying around. They're under arches near the center and have just noticed something slowly coming near them.))

The kitchenette mold free, you move on to the pantry. it's nasty in there. The bacon is grazing on the lettuce. The ham is having an illicit affair with the prime rib, The potatoes see all, know all. A rat in boxer shorts smoking a foul smelling cigar is banging on a cabinet shouting about rent money.

"Keep your distance everyone. We don't want to deal with whatever that thing is."

Give the robot a wide berth and keep going. Try not to make too much of a racket.

Leon tears away the last bits of his suit and drops his helmet on the ground as the team continues forward. They try to focus on the looking darkness of the tower in the distance and not on the horrible shape slapping it's way toward them, but it's impossible not to look. They catch only a glimpse as it passes by behind them, wandering caressingly into the storm as the lightning rod on it's back takes constant abuse. The thing looks robotic at first but something is different about it, something they only half glimpse through the storm before it vanishes. It walks with a tired and lazy gait, but is more human then anything they've seen so far, an odd mix of heavy industrial machinery and pale but unmistakably living flesh, the bastard child of an assembly line robot and a man.

It walks off into the storm and vanishes. The team continues on, unable to say how far it is to the tower. Things seem to be losing perspective here, the storm and the lack of landmarks making it impossible to tell if the tower is right ahead of them or mile away.

'I think we lost it. Let's hope we can keep it that way.'

Steady as she goes, full steam ahead.

'Hey Karen, how're you holding up?'

'Hopefully, the answer how this place came to be like it is, and a way to shut everything down.

More probably though, a whole legion of homicidal automatons with a bad hair day. '

Dear gods I haven't been to this in forever o_O

Out of curiosity, is anyone sufficiently bored to help me design an exotic world for my space-based scifi RP Rise of Hyperion? And yeah, I'm bring it back finally. Total revamp in process, storyline is (frighteningly-enough) over 100x larger and will span dozens of games, and I'd really love fellow Fantasy/Scifi lovers to throw ideas around with, discuss insane otherworldly creatures, exotic xeno-cultures, and more. ^_^

I assume my guy died ages ago? :P

((You're not dead, since you haven't left the ship or gone on any missions. Haven't even been mugged, just sort of phased out of existence in general. There is, however, a guy with the same name as your guy, so take that as you will.))

((Well, you weren't around and your location post-fleshpile wasn't stated, so you kind of got deposited into Schrodinger-space and never spoken of again. As in you don't really exist in any rooms currently, but, if you felt like playing, you could jump right back in.))
