Using the paper I have, map the areas of the Citadel 1 we've already visited. Then start walking around the room's wall, counterclockwise, checking if the alcoves hold anything worth of interest.

It's gonna be a bit hard to map it considering the lack of standard floor structuring and the fact that you have no real idea of the relation of anything to anything else. About the best you can do is make a list of rooms you're passing and see if they have anything in them.

You look into the nearest room, walking around it's periphery and checking the alcoves. You find nothing, not just nothing of interest but nothing at all.

Follow Maurice.
"We are not splitting up."

Follow Maurice.

You follow Maurice in his fruitless search of the room.

Maybe there is, maybe there isn't. Doesn't look like anyone is bleeding out, and we got all night by the looks of it, seeing as the fork user has left us alone for a while.

Boldly go where none has gone before! Up that ramp!

"Maybe we should split up? I don't believe what we're looking for will be up here, and I can relay the details of the rope by myself...if the rope even connects to something at the top of the wall, which I'm starting to doubt"
You continue up the ramp, this time running and completely ignoring everything else in your desperate bid to reach the top. After 10 straight minutes of sprinting through the dark and another 5 of staggering exhaustedly through the dark you finally reach the top, or at least where the ramp ends. The wall the ramp is attached to just sort of ends with the ramp itself reaching the very top. There's no roof or anything of interest up here, as far as you can see. You wave your lantern around, looking for something in desperation. And you do see something, just a glimpse of whiteish stone sitting on the inside of the grand circle created by citadel 1's wall.

Follow along with the group.

Splitting up would be a very bad idea here. We have no idea how big this place is, nor what's in here, and it's not even completely lit up.

Saying that, Simus cracks a glowstick ad tosses it over the edge of the ramp.
You crack a glowstick and hurl it over the edge of the ramp. It spirals off and vanishes into the darkness nearly instantly.

Get tugged on slightly by the lightrope that's still tied around me and is now slightly wound around the walkway and trails up the ramp a ways. Untie it and activate a lantern for myself. Keep going with the group.

Anything up there?

Continue the tour around the room.

((@GUNINANRUNIN Welcome to the HMRC!))
((Thnx. Can't wait for the next mission. I've actually been reading this page by page. I'm on 117.))

((I can only hope that's page 117 with the post count on 50/page. Otherwise, you've got a long ways to go.

And finally, an AUX-heavy character, someone who can mess around with our tech during missions. Glad to have you.))
((Thanks. I assumed there would already be plenty of gunmen out there who could keep me safe.))

((Still don't have a lantern. Using a glow stick. We can retcon Travis getting lanterns and rope light if that makes things simpler))

"Well, I'm at the top. And there's nothing up here. Considering it'd take me an hour to get back to the walkway if I went looking for the rope, I think I'll pass. Orders Milno?"

Travis cracks a glowstick and throws it at the 'glimpse of stone', trying to get a better look at what it is

((Few questions. What's our glowstick count looking at? Also, could you describe the end of the ramp a different way please? I'm having a hard time picturing it. The wall just ends....like I couldn't continue counter-clockwise from the top of the wall?))

We should take this to ship thread though and stop cluttering up the current mission thread.)).

Examine the structure of the tower again. Are there accessible rooms to the sides like in the other one?

Also check who has camera and that they're filming everything.

(I've just been assuming you were dragging the rope behind you, pulling it away from where it was hanging before.)
You untie the ropelight and activate your last lantern, keeping in step with the rest of the group.

(( Yeah, then I'll drop the idea for now. ))
Continue the tour around the room.
The room you're in or the next one? Because you already looked through here and there's nothing. Remember you're in a building like the tower, with lots of rooms along a ramp. Does everyone get that? I know it's kinda hard to visualize, it's even harder to explain and I'm not good enough to draw it. If this still makes no sense I'll try to explain what it looks like again.

(if you were looking for the rope you probably should have said to look for where the rope was anchored too. I just had you run up without looking at anything)

Ok so this is a bit of a sticking point so I'll explain it in hopefully a more easy to understand if less artful manner. Ok, you know the threads on a screw? The little raised bit that spirals up from the bottom to the top? Well, imagine you had a thick walled pipe or a cylinder and that you took those threads and you laid them along the inside, rather the outside like on the screw. Now take that and add several more, similar threads all running up the inside of this cylinder in such a way that they never cross or intersect. Those are your ramps. Now, if you were to follow those ramps, occasionally drilling a hole along their path, that would be the entrance to the rooms. The rooms themselves would be within the wall of the pipe itself.

Thats the tower. Now, if you expand that in size, you have this building.

Now, as per where you are. You can't continue because everything thing just kind of ends; Sliced it in half horizontally and you reached the cut point, where the ramp connects with the top of the wall and there is no ceiling. It's like someone has just cut the building off like:

 You
-----------------
R
   a
      m
         p
            R
              a
                m
                  p

You crack another glowstick (6 left for everyone) And throw it over toward the bit of rock you saw. It lands a top the stone and illuminates it a bit more. It looks like the top of another wall, just like the one you're on now. As though there is another, smaller, building within this one, a concentric structure like a Russian nesting doll.

Examine the structure of the tower again. Are there accessible rooms to the sides like in the other one?

Also check who has camera and that they're filming everything.

There are indeed rooms to the side. It appears that Charro has the camera and that he is indeed filming everywhere. He is of course doing so using nothing but dutch angles, quick cuts and adding liberal amounts of "Pew pew" and "Shaboooooom" personal sound effects though.

((My understanding is that the rope would be attached to something on the outside or top of the wall, which wouldn't be visible from the inside of the Citadel.

Thanks for the explanation. So, the ramp ends at the top of the wall, which means Travis can walk on top and do a complete circle? If so:))

Travis walks onto the top of the wall and does a complete circle, keeping an eye on the outside portion of the wall for Rope 1

Faith stared a moment at Charro. Welp.

Search side rooms, dragging Charro with me. Verbally, since I've only got one hand. Try to figure out if they've got any noticeable purpose or interesting qualities.
