"Extemely flammable..."
"Contents may ignite or explode..."
"Not intended for consumption..."

Smart.

Well yeah, it's almost pure alcohol.

Intended only as a mixer, otherwise you may GO BLIND.

I come from an area with more than a few shiners.

It aint the proof that makes you go blind. That only happens if it's badly made.

Completely aside from that, I can get 2 litres of 85-90 percent shine for less than a quart of Everclear, so Everclear kind of sucks massive penis.

Certainly you could argue that DF is a lot like The Sims, only... you know... with more vomit and decapitation.
If you launch a wooden mine cart towards the ocean at a sufficient speed, you can have your entire dwarf sail away in an ark.

Bonus points to anyone who can make sense of that.

Oooh! oooh! and then they won't run in fear of things anymore, because they won't see them!
They'll only run in fear when they sudden take massive injuries from sources previously thought nonexistent!

For some reason this sounds remarkably existential.

Are cave dragons real? Are they not real? What IS "real"? Can something hurt you if you do not even know whether or not it exist?

If a dwarf dies in the caverns and nobody is around to hear it will they still loot his socks?

I think this thread should be put back on its tracks. This derailment is ridiculous.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.
