So new Snapshot.
Apparently with mobs that use gear, similar to Better Dungeons, a new command block, similar to Adventurecraft scripting and a new secret block, which thus far appears to function like the beacon from Runic Dust mod.

 I do wonder what people are trying to imply when they make comparisons like that. Are you trying to say the devs are straight ripping off mods, or the development should not have happened because somebody added a similar system? I fear I'll get into a huge ragefest over assuming it's the first point presented when you really mean something else.

I'm simply pointing out mods that have in the past implemented similar features :P
I'm all for adding mod features into the game if they're done well.

Primarily though, I was making fun of the divide between the mods and vanilla thread, inferring that each thread needed to be updated with its own spin on development progress.

 Alright, thanks. And sorry for starting this with hostility.

 The beacon is part of a pyramid structure one can make that creates a field where effects are applies. So if you stand within 32 blocks of the pyramid you move faster or something.

Its nice to see them taking the in-world building idea and running with it for vanilla mechanics.

Too lazy to check back through 100+ pages to see if it's been brought up before, but there's a mod called Mystcraft which looks cool. Basically infinite, randomly generated worlds, with worlds inside of worlds. Inception, eat your heart out.
