It's probably going to be updated before most of the mods are :P

I assumed you were referring to just not wanting to use Forge in general./

That's because most modders actually like being compatible with other mods, and not needing to make a fuckload of base class edits.

The reason why I want one that isn't forge dependent, is because Forge isn't updated yet.

edit: So this isn't a "Forge sucks!" rant.  :P
Just... use 1.2.5 until everything's updated. :)

Well.. I could.. but I am so used to build with the new blocks now that I cannot possibly make myself roll back.  :-\

White wood half-blocks, dark wood half-blocks, pink wood half-blocks white wood stairs, dark wood stairs, pink wood stairs.

Do you have to ask?

But... you can do any of those with a mod.

I sorta prefer just placing three wood in a line instead of messing with saws and microblocks and all the little extra things that turn me off from the pretty crazy extra shapes you can make. I'm a builder, but those blocks are too dense for me to deal with. Sorta prefer working with the vanilla system for them here.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

Okay

Though I could be a jerk and say that the vanilla thread is that way ===>

:P

I personally prefer the mod blocks as they give you a lot more to work with as a builder.

I'd LOVE to build nuclear reactors Buildcraft-furnace-style.
Dammit, I want to make a realistic minecraft mod ;(

I searched this because I don't remember Buildcraft getting furnaces. It still doesn't, so I'm trying to understand what you are trying to convey here. You mean better pipe integration for inputs/outputs? So one could pump in water directly instead of just surrounding a reactor with it? Those sorts of interactions? Could be cool, but it doesn't justify the horrific term of 'realism'.

(Microblocks are nice for little details, but I'm never gonna lay down a floor with 'em or make a thin wall with the things)

Maybe he meant railcraft furnaces which are built in-world rather than crafted?

Yeah guys, no vanilla talk in this thread! >:(
Some people come here so they can discuss their fantastic machines, and they can't find that discussion because everyone's talking about coloured half blocks and sideways logs instead.

A buncha mods seem to have the same concept of large multi-block furnace devices, like Railcraft and Terrafirmacraft. It's a shame that I've only seen Powercraft use it with other machines like its fishing machine. Would like to see other mods have funky machine designs for these things.

As far as I know there have been no 'decent large mods' developed for 1.3.1 in the 8 days it has been live, no.

Well that answer is all I asked for. Thanks.
