I have discovered that you can use Mystcraft with Technic. Dont even need to screw around with block ids.

Just turn off millenaire, throw all the mystcraft stuff into the modpack.jar(its in bin), and you are done. Works like a charm.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

EDIT: Note that I also have betterdungeons turned off, so I dont know if mystcraft might conflict with that.
EDIT2: Also note that this is the latest technic devbuild.

You talking about mystcraft in Technic?

Anyway, this mystcraft world is amazing. The wood tendrils go straight into the ground, but there are no trees. The world looks like skaia with its checkerboard stuff, and even land and water are in a checkerboard pattern. In the bits with grass its raining, but in the desert it isnt. The world is in an endless dawn, with one side of the sky looking red, and the other green.

Almost makes me want to make a lets play or something, about a dude stuck in this alien world.

Redpower and Mystcraft don't always play well together. Sometimes flat cave- or skyworlds lock up while generating if Redpower World is installed. Sad, since I really like Mystcraft.

I made a sort of mini-modpack that is centered around Lieu's Invasion Mod, and focuses on adding some useful stuff for your to add to your bases to defend them from the waves attacking the nexus. I'm only putting it here so enjoy all, if you find a mod that might be a good add to the pack please tell me, and I'll see about adding it :)

I'm using Redpower2, Buildcraft, Thaumcraft 2 and Mystcraft. Often, it takes a lot to generate a new Myst era, then when it renders it slows to a crawl (like 1 frame per 15 seconds), but I just try my hardest to press ESC and then spam mousebutton the Quit to main menu button, eventually it works, I exit Minecraft, reload, and it's all fine and dandy.

May be a memory thing, my Java is currently capped at 2 GB. Could try to increase it to 3 to see what happens.

I literally just spawned straight under one of them thaumcraft obelisks. Like in the middle block of the 3x3 black square. Weird

I just created a neat Era with glowstone tendrils under the sea level at a permanent daylight flat era. I'm thinking of draining the ocean with a BC pump, the problem is... the water has to go somewhere. If I was using IC2, I guess I could have a watermill eat it, but I'm not. Not sure I want to install IC2 at this point (already made my wizard tower and been tending to my Vis crystal garden for a while, I don't want to regen the world, nor do I want a world where most of my blocks don't contain what they should contain (ores, etc... I'm a bit OC about that).

Any other ways to get rid of water sucked up with pumps? Only other idea I have is to just fill water tanks, break them and place them again to clear the water in them. Maybe something in Redpower uses water?

Combustion engines eat water, but they also eat a ton of fuel and tend to explode if you don't use their power.

Yeah, combustion engines aren't an option for that reason.

Hmm... think I'm going to test if I can heat up a combustion engine externally and if it still uses up water.

Bastardize a cobblegen to eat water? I think that'd be doable, if time consuming. Mind you, i'm not really sure how, but if you can automate the water coming out...

Maybe make a few of 'em.

Alternately just make a few dozen tanks, suck the whole thing up in one go, then break it.

Does any of the thaum seals eat water?

Couldn't you just dump out lava buckets on the sea and mine the cobble with a quarry?

I thought of that, still a waste of fuel tho. Pumps are cheaper :)

Plus I don't wanna mess the seabed.

Alternately just make a few dozen tanks, suck the whole thing up in one go, then break it.

I think that's going to have to be the solution. Gonna need a larger floating platform tho.
