Bah, vis crystals and quarries don't mix.

Actually, vis crystals behavior is just strange and doesn't mix with any other mod, probably.

This is because vis crystal ore aren't mineable. They are breakable, like glass, and they spawn the little crystals. So a quarry won't pick them up, for example. (not to mention that there's like 75% probability that the quarry won't even touch the ore, instead breaking the block it is attached to, breaking it anyway).

So the only way to use the BC quarry AND Thaumcraft without wasting the crystals is to babysit the entire operation, preferably by sitting in the quarry hole doing nothing waiting for crystals to drop.

   If you use small quarries you could use the item attraction seals, you would just have to sink some holes ahead of time and apply them facing into the quarry. Even puts the items into chests for you.

Heads up, the most recent optifine seems to have fixed the texture mishmash bug!
(by most recent I mean "Preview OptiFine HD A11 Standard")

Also, MystCraft + Millenaire doesn't spam the quest message in ages, though I have yet to see any villages in the overworld.

Why isn't MAtmos in the first post? It's an awesome mod! It adds sounds to inventory, attacks, underwater etc. Also it ambient sounds like birds singing, wind when you high above the ground at cetera. It greatly improves the game experience!

I heard that the newest MC always spawns you in or near a jungle. I hate jungle. :(

I personally find matmos annoying. As for the jungle thing. Not true. Though it does happen with some regularity.

I made a sort of mini-modpack that is centered around Lieu's Invasion Mod, and focuses on adding some useful stuff for your to add to your bases to defend them from the waves attacking the nexus. I'm only putting it here so enjoy all, if you find a mod that might be a good add to the pack please tell me, and I'll see about adding it :)

Hack/Mine looks like quite a good mod.

basically makes minecraft semi-RPG with building still in it, and fuckloads of dungeons, combined with what appears to be DF's random name generator.

It's not that great. Once you've reached level 5, it's all pretty much repeated content from there. Things will just get higher levels, and you will too, and will also get higher gear. In the end your doing the same exact thing in the same way but everything has larger numbers.

Ho-ly hell. So I believe anyone with technic has at least heard of those airships Better Dungeons will generate... I've been heading in more or less 1 direction from the spawn, and came across this:
