Oh new thread... so, in the other thread i was asking about something in Equivalent Exchange : the numbers behind a multiple-watches-of-flowing-time-on-pedestals setup, and since there was no answer, i tested it myself with a stopwatch and i think i've finally found how it works, so i'll post my results here, if i'm wrong please correct me.
So, the first watch gives you a boost in this way : if the time it takes to create X energy is 100, with one watch it becomes 100-7=93.
With a second watch this becomes 93-(7-0.25)=86.25.
With a third watch it becomes 86.25-(7-0.5)=79.75.
and so on until you have 19 watches (the bonus from pedestals is said to be capped at 10x speed and 19 watches gives you 10.2564x speed if i'm correct).
Now the interesting part is that a watch in your hand, while consuming energy, applies its charge level to the bonus, so activating it with full charge gives you the same bonus as if you built 4 more pedestals with watches.
Also, while the "7%" bonus is decreasing with each new watch, the time it takes to get X energy decreases much faster, so each new watch is actually more potent than the previous one. The total bonus with a watch in hand and 19 pedestals is supposedly capped at 13.33x speed (from the EE thread in the forums), which is consistent with what you'd get from 20 pedestals, so i'm guessing you can build only 16 pedestals and use your watch with 4x charge to get to the cap.
I'll test all of this some more as i upgrade my setup.
