Crime and Punishment... and Love?!

So, new fort, not even into winter yet. This stonecrafter gets angry about a bunch of keas cadging his masterwork amulets and throws a tantrum. He heads to the dormitory, where he precedes to bash in the heads of three sleeping dwarves, including one of his own friends and the doctor. I don't have much administration set up yet, so I hastily appoint a sheriff, and convict the mason of his crimes. He gets sentenced to a beating, which the sheriff administers.

Then I notice that he's no longer miserable. In fact, he's ecstatic! Turns out he was caught up in a new romance, just now. With the sheriff.

I'd be willing to bet they'll have quite a spicy lovelife. Also, just think of what a great story they'll be able to tell when people ask about how they hooked up.
