Haha, Korpiklaani is awesome. I think it was that song that got me into them.

Imma listening to the Brütal Legend soundtrack. It's good.

I seem to particularly like Accept.

While searching for a copy of the script from "Beneath the Planet of the Apes" I found a video on youtube with a song whose lyrics are based on the scene where they're worshipping the atomic bomb

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1DU5C26TPw

EDIT:
Here's a better copy: Everlasting Bomb (by Widescreen Mode)

EDIT:
While we're on the tpoic of nuclear themed songs, I also like Bring Back the Bomb (by GWAR)

Not sure if its been shared yet, but I'm sure some of you have heard Arch Enemy's new female vocalist. I believe she was / is the vocalist for The Agonist.

Ohai Ehndras! Haven't seen you around in a while. :)

I'm psyched to see Alkira and Harlott again tonight, along with a bunch of other badass bands.
The last week or so I've had no money 'cause I was saving my funds for this. It's gonna be good.

Also, this song is fucking scary. First thing I've listened to in ages that's actually creeped me out. I have no idea why I haven't listened to the band before, they're amazing.

Here's another great band that my behind-the-times self has only recently discovered.

In honor of America, The Reaganator, by GWAR

(and here's a lyric sheet because Brockie is particularly incomprehensible in this recording)

Killswitch Engage - In Due Time

I've been listening to a fair bit of Killswitch Engage recently. Metalcore, with occasional vague religious allusions (although they're thicker in this song than in others) that it's pretty easy to pretend aren't there if that's not your cup of tea.

Odd thing, this and a few other of the heavier metal bands I listen to were recommended by the youth pastor of my cousins' church.

I've been on a serious doom kick lately. Enjoy.

Cough - Athame
Indica - Om
Pentagram - Sign of the Wolf
High On Fire - Carcosa
Acid Witch - To Magic, Sex and Gore
Lizzard Wizzard - Reptile Dysfunction
Iron Witch - Single Malt
Space Bong - In Goon We Crust
Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats - Runaway Girls
Electric Wizard - Return Trip
Mountain Witch - Death Obsessed
Pyraweed - Deadly Smoke
Holy Serpent - Fool's Gold
Witch - Seer
Frown - Trial By Ordeal
Wizard Eye - The Dying Earth
And finally, to lull you into a hazy sleep amidst the clouds of smoke, Bongripper - Miserable.
Be warned, once you start listening to this stuff (even sober!) it's easy to lose a few hours, haha.
(I would have liked to list even more great bands, but these are long songs and I fear any more would overwhelm a casual listener!)

Nice. I actually haven't heard this song before. Good ol' Beatles.

In other news: This song seriously kicks arse/ass/butt/heiny/whatever.

This is some nice groove right here.

Also, apparently, this fall Arkona and Korpiklaani will be performing relatively nearby, think I'm gonna start saving up for that right about now.

I just discovered Tengger Cavalry.  Mongolian folk metal.  It's surprisingly awesome.

I get to see Toxic Holocaust in a few days!
They're playing with Bulletbelt from New Zealand, who are also great. I've been wanting to see them for a while, ever since I missed out on Midnight's Australian tour a while ago.  This is probably my favourite Toxic Holocaust album, although I haven't listened to them all that much, to be honest... wish I'd gotten into them sooner. Oh well, it's sure to be incredibly rad anyway.

There's also a show the next day as well, with a huge lineup of awesome Australian bands. I'm gonna be a walking corpse on Sunday, that's for sure! ^-^

Edit: Switched the Bulletbelt link to an audio-only track, since the official video contains mild spoilers for Deathgasm, which I really want to see.
