If you ever get near them, tell them that the internet people hate them. :P

Unknown to most but the insane and the mystics, Tarran is actually Earth itself, as Earth is sentient like that planet in Avatar. Originally Earth used names such as Terra on the internet, but to protect it's identity it changed letters, now becoming the Tarran you know today.

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

I like my body without riddled with holes thank you, though seems to be a interesting place to start my internship and getting my security clearances.

Somehow I don't think you start out interning at an agency like the NSA :P

If you do sign up for a defense industry, please pick one that doesn't spy on everyone. At the very least not on the internet.

I don't know about the NSA, but at any major college in the country you can practically trip over intern-recruiters for the FBI and CIA.  They need a shitload of paperwork processed, and they're perfectly happy trading college credits and an impressive-sounding resume to get it done.

Just one more data point they don't need that they'll have, I suppose.

These days it seems like the CIA's job is to blow shit up with drones, the NSA's job is to be secret. The FBI is the government equivalent of the Police.

Everybody say hi for the background checks!

Hi background check people! The bay12 WMDs are certainly not in Tellemurius' closet, so be sure you don't check there!

Anyway; I'm a bit interested in how effective their data centers actually are. Data is really easy to collect in vast quantities, but getting useful info out of it is another question entirely. I'm curious as to whether they are actually able to effectively find information or whether they are merely glorified filing cabinets. It could be anywhere ranging from as interesting as deep analysis of text to find information those creating the text weren't even aware of to boring and mundane shallow keyword searches.

That's what their "super-fucking-awesome-but-not-quite-as-awesome-as-what-the-Japanese-have" super computer will be for. It will crack codes, while smaller terminals are pulling data out of data streams according to voice idents, keyword searches and targeted retrieval.

In the end though, gathering intel is a pretty broad mission and I suspect their time will be equally split between looking for targeted information....and filing up their filing cabinets with dossiers on the digital life of every American citizen.

Honestly, folks can look at stuff I do on the Internet and phone all day and I won't care. They would be bored out of their minds. (THIS IS NOT PERMISSION TO DO SO, MR NSA)

"Oh, hey. He's watching that stupid funny cat video on YouTube again."

"Think he'll delete all the messages he got in Facebook today?"

"He hasn't touched Facebook in... Three months, looks like."

"The Internet is safe. Let's call it a day."

In fact, it'd make me feel special if people spied on me. Uncomfortable, sure, but special. (NOT PERMISSION EITHER)

Yeah, like watching someone play real life Sims in text form. Not so fun.

I'm considering sending emails everywhere with terrorist keywords in a nice neat paragraph at the bottom, and at the top, a message on the moral levity on spying on the internet :I

NSA =/= Terrorists
