Time to troll the rest of future humanity and just print out Time Cube pages and staple them together and call it a book.

I think he's got the right idea. Because SAS handbook or no, you're probably all going to die in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Might as well die happy.

That said,
1. Condensed encyclopedia (one of the kind that's a single volume).
2. Chemistry 101 textbook.
3. The Collected Works of William Shakespeare.
4. Gardening book (this is assuming that food can be grown in the post-apocalypse soil without being irradiated..bit of a gamble but then if none of the soil is arable, we're pretty much fucked anyways)
5. A 1-volume History of the World.

If there's anything I've learned from Army of Darkness, it's that all I need is a chemistry textbook.

I'm not the most well-read person in the world, but here goes:

1.  The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark by Carl Sagan
2.  As comprehensive of a book on world history as I can find
3.  Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury
4.  A survival guide, maybe the one already mentioned previously (The SAS Survival Handbook)
5.  A physics textbook

1. Necronomicon

you know it doesn't actually exist, right?

There is an actual Necronomicon - it's a compilation of some of Lovecraft's stories, and I have a copy sitting on my desk.

1. SAS Handbook
2. Anarchist Cookbook
3. Necronomicon
4. Physics textbook
5. Bible

The AC is rather inaccurate. Especially the newer copies. The original copies of it may have some usable information, though.

1: A survival book. Any type will do.

2: A decent improvised weapon related book. You never know when you'll have to make a weapon.

3: A book with over 800 pages. For fire.

4 and 5: 2 books that would entertain me. Boredom drives me insane.

3. The Stand(lol)
4. Structured Computer Organisation
5. Any kind of book teaching me how to repair common stuff

The rest is left to intuition.

Why the hell would you build a fallout shelter so small you can only fit five books in it?

I suppose that having a Nook with 100,000 books on it is just too much trouble.
