The windmill produces d100 energy. The fact that it provided so much energy last week means that I made an error somewhere.

The fact that I described all those similair plots was too iluustrate you could place any type of tree/fruit/vegetables. You only had 5 plots, and trees take up plots as well.

it is possible that, because of the fault with the furnace, it didn't use 100 energy.

it is also possible that the construction of the lanterns didn't use 50 energy, when the capacitors were removed from the bank.

both of these would require less energy to have been created from the windmill

I thought that after the 8 weeks that no tending was needed, just harvesting (so presumably less man power in exchange for no yield as they grow).

About those biofuels, what, exactly are we making? Biodiesel, alcohol fuels, straight veggie oil?
As I understand it, we could produce biodeisel from mustard oil, soybean oil, flax, animal fats, vegetable oils... Pretty much anything that has the word oil in its name. If we really can plant anything that grows from a seed, we should be set.
However, different plants have different properties, and biodiesel takes quite a bit of processing to be useable.
Alcohol fuels, on the other hand, are sort-of easier to make. ((Must rush out the door soon, may edit this post later))

I was hoping we could just hand-wave that - plant bio-fuels, then build a "bio-fuel refinery", and assume we had a liquid fuel compatible with our generator and their cars.


This is only needed until we get the nanofactory going, then we don't need the refinery, we can just feed in ceulosic / oily feedstock and get out the exact bio-fuel we are after.
