Seems rather pointless. Are the seeds in hex, or base 36? Just a number, regardless.

Maybe typing in "magmaaaaa" as a seed would be amusing, though.

it's fun writing something that makes sense to you than just a string of numbers.

Apparently, towers are rad in my genned world. About 1/3 of the entries are about towers

Any news about invaders?
I mean, are they historical figures too?
Also, since there seems to be a lot more multi culti these days (a lot of sides have inhabitants of all 4 major races) I expect Dwarven and Human Invaders in Goblin Squads too

Question: why am I not spawning in cities? Are cities called "Hamlets" on the Q map? I've tried genning a large world, a smaller world, letting them run for a long time, trying out every human civ...

Cities are called towns.

Alright, thank you. That clears a lot up,  I figured since we had towns in the last release there was a new third tier.

For Your Consideration:



Notice the bit that says "Dark Dwarven Fortress". Don't think I ever saw this in DF2010. Presumably the dwarves conquered a goblin tower? Or mayhap they're evil dwarves. Either way, Awesome. Headed there as soon as world gen ends.

Are there new Ages? I've been genning a couple worlds and saw some I've never seen before; but to be fair I always went short histories before this version.
I've got one genning now that's in the Age of Heroes.

In case anyone haven't noticed by now, player characters can use natural weapons like dragonfire now. Just had a lot of fun with these in arena mode.
Lots of potential for mods, I guess.

EDIT: Deon's already made a mod utilizing that.

It's possible to breath fire when playing as a dragon? How did you do that?

I think it's the way towns develop now. In the beginning, people move into a town. Then they start producing tables, which results in more and more tables. Soon tables represent a significant portion of the population, they start lobbying for new laws and regulations, putting people to greater and greater disadvantage...
