That mosquito thing is definitely a bug.
If I was one for having a .sig, that (out of context) quote would be a prime candidate for my next one...

(Etymologists and entomologists alike: you are welcome to make the obvious ripostes about the order Hemiptera, but I still think it's funny.)

Yeah, got a few 504s earlier, and then a "Maintenance login only"-type screen.  I reckoned that this place was being hit hard, though. ;)

Many man-hours will be wasted, and many nerdgasms have been had. Praise Toady!

Every few miles, [the dwarves] stop the cart.  One of the dwarfs (sic) gets off, digs a hole down below the dirt layers, licks the bedrock, and then they know exactly where they are.  It's called GPS: Geological Piquancy Sampling.

Thank you Toady, you gave me an excuse to put all my projects on hold for a few days.

1/3 of the way to 1.0? I was under the impression that it's more of 1/5 of the way. Oh well, 1.0 is closer this way :)

OMG, why would you release this on Valentine's Day.  I realize love stinks and all that but really... do we need the divorce rate going any higher?

Is this version multithreaded? i'm getting equal usage on all 4 cores during worldgen, though total capacity usage is only maxing 27%. so its using 1/4th of all cores equally?

No, that's what normally happens for single-threaded apps unless you set core affinity so it all runs on one core.  (DF has had multithreaded rendering since v31, but the core of the game is still single-threaded)

Looks like i am not the only one having long wait time for world gen as compare to the other versions. Have been waiting for my world to generate for over an hour already.

everyone on this pocket world has silver weaponry. I wonder if it's the only metal available on the map. needs research.

Oh, yes! Just a couple weeks ago, I was starting to get worried when I realized how long it had been since the last update. I'm glad to see you're still hard at work, Toady.

Of course, I suspect I'm going to lose a fair bit of productivity I had planned today, constantly refreshing pages to learn more about what you've been doing.
