I think your mod may be bugged a little, one of the signs was blank and another had a "?" on it. Also...

On level 35 I came upon the killerguything... but, he just stood there. I even walked up to him and saw his body and could have went past him. Unfortunately, I bumped into him and died, so I couldn't get a screenshot.

Only if you scare easily (or at least can pretend to be). It'd probably be pretty boring without lots of laughs, considering that the game is basically a bunch of dark corridors.

I scare very easily. Doing commentary over it is the only way I'll be able to play it at all.

Going to have my entire family play. Nothing in the game not appropriate for small children other then the scare, right? Should I use A or B?

I thought A looked much more atmospheric and spooky. B appears to have more interesting floors and varied activity, though.

You can see farther in A.  In B, even if you turn up the brightness, your light only reaches so far in front of you.  It's that sinking feeling of knowing that a jump scare could come from right in front of your face that really does it.

I'd recommend A for people of a nervous disposition.  B is much worse.

I was around floor, I don't know, 19 or something, and I was starting to lose immersion. I started musing - Man, this is kind of tedious. I bet this guys legs are getting tired. I wonder if these stairs go all the way to China. When suddenly the light dims and I flail my view around trying to see what's going on and creepy mask face guy appears in front of me.

And I just slowly. Back. Away. He didn't follow me. I started laughing nervously.

Good times. More fun than I expected.

Video: A man streaming this game for just shy of 1 hour 45 minutes, thoroughly avoiding creepy salad fingers and descending the SCP Endless Staircase to an absurd degree. He hits Floor 222 at the video's halfway mark (and runs almost face-first into creepy salad fingers.)

Note: He apparently gets closer to the railing with every encounter. Either that or it gets darker to create the illusion of that happening, but I can hardly fucking tell because you can't see five centimeters in front of your own nose anyway, even if you're at floor 1. I presume it eventually gets to a point where he gets too close to do the epic railing avoid, but unless the guy doing the video hits that point (I'm at the hour mark myself, still no hug from creepy salad fingers) then I can only assume.

I tried recording a bit of the other version. Got about 4 minutes of footage and then I bitched out. Don't think I'll be trying it again. After watching some playthroughs, I am not unhappy with my decision.

The way that gentleman reacts, right at the end of the video, completely disarmed all of the tension that had built up as I'd watched him play through. It's just such a hilariously honest reaction, I can't help but smile and give a mild chuckle as I type this out. I think that's done it for me now, I'll not be able to think of this SCP without remembering his "Blehrablalblarblearrgh" and giving an involuntary chuckle.
