The SCP foundation seems to have spawned a game.  A truly terrifying game.  A game that genuinely got my heart racing and made me take a break to post this, just to calm down before continuing.

AFAIK there are two different versions, the newest is available here and the original is here.  I seriously recommend you play it without searching for further info, with the lights off and with headphones in.

If the game fails to load, try changing the resolution in the .ini file.  Please avoid posting spoilers in this thread.

I watched an early build of this game, where there are only the stairs. The creepiness factor really goes up as you descend, but I was bored so I skipped to the end of the video, and BLAM!

I quit the first time on Floor 22 while trying to pause. I was like: "Dammit... that's 10 minutes of tension lost." Upon restart I noticed that it changes each time you play.

This may be my terrible memory and not being able to find the site in my bookmarks, but isn't this the indie German game that

takes place after a shelling in the First World War and plays like Amnesia, in that you can't fight back as your rifle only fires blanks?

The graphic style seems similar and the wiki isn't very helpful, from what I see it's only a collection of creepypasta-esque stories.

I think a scarier thing would be a virally released scp.  Post on 4chan's /x/ that you found a program on demonoid that's been taken down, then link to an /rs/ download of a program, where the program is the scp itself.

1. AFAIK there isn't an official website, this is just something someone knocked up for fun.
2. I didn't include a preview because this kind of game is far more enjoyable without spoilers IMO.
3. I wouldn't have recommended that anyone download it if I hadn't scanned it with both my AV software and Malwarebytes first.

@Taz: a single screen wouldn't show you much at all.  It'd either be a spoiler or a wall.
@Detonate: No, it isn't that game.  Also, that site isn't a wiki for the game.  The game was based on an entry in the wiki.
