I can get on board with Iron Maiden. I'm not a metal man, but if it ever came down to a quickfire choice between, say, Metallica and Iron Maiden, it'd be Iron Maiden every time. They know how to make a solid tune, the lyrics are intelligent and intelligible. The idea of the mystical heritage of a seventh son is deeply embedded in folklore. There's a slightly corny 80's metal sound to the guitars now, and the song's outro is very bombastic. 4/7 red raw knuckles.

Speaking of corny sounds...

9/10. It is exactly the sort of music I like, predictably enough. Catchy and thematic!

This one's pretty much ambient music, but I still like it.

That was pretty good, even if I don't speak Polish/Norwegian. 8.5/10

I don't normally like really loud music, but this along with the rest of the album this is from is an exception:

6/10 Loud and chaotic, then very quiet and calm. It left me confused.

Awesome/10. Always enjoyed Soviet marches, and this rings a familiar bell. Translation?

8/10 One of favorite ones from Tsoi. But not the best one I think.

8.7/10. That's some good guitar music.

In the thread tradition, have more war music.

It was "Der Heimliche Aufmarsch", a German Communist march originally written in 1931 for the anti-war film "Niemandsland".

That's not one of my favourite Iron Maiden songs, but it's not bad. 7.5/10

6/10. It's good, but all in all, I think it isn't particularly interesting.

I once lived in the same house as a girl that really like trance music. She'd go off to house parties in the countryside and there'd be rooms for different kinds of trance. Listening now I can see how it could support a vast number of subgenres. Each kind of music resonates with a particularly emotional sensibility, and our receptivity to different forms of music is conditioned by our prior listening history. All this to say, I didn't like it. The starting piano was a bit corny, and then it quickly transmuted to computer music that followed a pretty generic pattern. I guess this is supposed to be a version of an existing song, though I'm not familiar with the original. 3/10: obviously competent but I don't subscribe to the general programme nor this particular instance of it.

7.5/10. I like the part where half the song is spent on talking about a building.
