I'm in if I can find my LoD disc, and I'll play a Sorc specialising in Ice. No specific builds, just focusing on the Icy spells.

Yeah, TCP/IP is what you're looking for, using the host's Hamachi IP.

Anyway, will have to think about it. No idea what I'd be playing.

Also, how does uneven leveling/partying work in D2? If someone new joins at level 1 and hangs around a bunch of 15s killing stuff, what happens? Was there a level difference limit to doing that?

It looks like lower leveled players gain NO exp, which was the problem for Gale and heads.

I will personally help level up anyone who is too far behind

All notes point to yes.

I'd host but hamachi/tcp/ip doesn't seem to play nice when you're running other servers at the same time.

I think there's a certain amount it's scaled by, which they did to try to stop the phenomenon of "Rushing". There's a few level ranges where it's practical though, but if you're lagging too far behind you won't gain shit.
