Ah, okay, I thought bdthemag went first as per your post. Alright, here we are:
Um... It's kind of hard with no precedent, but...
Actually, whilst pondering what the heck to put down, I saw this post
I'm not sure how well real-time would owrk out, and I was planning to run it through the forums. As for background, well, I was kind of expecting the first player to act to do the background. There's probably a very high chance this will be a civ game, seeing the popularity yet also rarity of those, or there's a high chance we might end up having the thread move over to RtD. The whole thing is a mixed bag, really.
EDIT: I'll look over maptools because we'll probably need them, as this won't go to well without a map.
So, I'm going to write the background to the world in my vision. Play some evil laughter in the background.
In the beginning, before Lucas even had his ideas, when the
Eagle Nebula was still the Chick Nebula, and Toady , there was just one species in the voids of space, and while space was large, infinitely large, in fact, there was only so much to do, and only so much to discover, and they fell into stagnation and decay. Sure, the occasional Tnef would venture from the Homeworld, which was always called
the Homeworld, and discover a new patch of grass or previously undiscovered prime number, not a lot happened. That is, until someone forgot to turn off the Antimatter Oven one night and the entire solar system exploded in an orgy of self-immolation. Some said that this was the end of the Tnef, though their artifacts would be found all over the universe until the end of time, but others said that 6(+) Tnef had been on an expedition, although some historians insist that they were exiles, with each Tnef having its own ship, and each ship having its own sentience device, which produces, ironically, produces food, and a kitchen, which allows for the design and creation of one sentient species with a set amount of individual organisms based on the mass of the species, but each can only be used once.
I am so
awesome long-winded. So, so long-winded
