Starving animals (quick question)
« on: April 03, 2011, 11:22:35 am »

Thats it, this is the last time I let my elephants die due to their size. I've heard so many times that you can mod out the food needs for most animals and now I'd like know how. Which files do I need to edit and what exactly should I be looking for in those files?

It's just immoral to let elves leave the map without being robbed at least a little.

[GRAZER: X]

It's the opposite of speed. The number is how much nutrition the animal gets from a tile of grass. The higher the number, the less it needs.

Thanks! I reckon I should edit creature_domestic.txt right? Is there a limit to how large the number may be?

I'm not that great a modder, so I'm unsure as to the first question, but I'm fairly sure each domestic grazing creature has one. From what I understand, that would mean yes. And I haven't observed an upper limit yet.

You'll need to edit it for the creature in question. Remove the tag totally for no grazing.

I think it's the way towns develop now. In the beginning, people move into a town. Then they start producing tables, which results in more and more tables. Soon tables represent a significant portion of the population, they start lobbying for new laws and regulations, putting people to greater and greater disadvantage...

Elephants are in creature_large_tropical.txt.
